[AT TAEHYUNG’S HOUSE]

Y/N’s POV :

A voice came from behind.

- “Y/N, please go upstairs and prepare the left side room. Put fresh flowers
in the vase and change the bedsheet also. Taehyung is finally coming
home after so long time. Put red roses only, he likes them a lot.” It was
Taeyhung’s mother, Soo Jin.

- “Yes ma’am!” I hurried upstairs.

After an hour or two, the room was looking decent and after finishing my work, I headed down.

Taehyung arrived and his parents were greeting him with warmth. They were away from him for 8 years as he studied abroad. Mrs. Soo Jin asked me to bring tea for him.

While pouring him the tea, I looked at his face. He was looking so handsome, just like I had heard from Mrs. Soo Jin. He was looking tired but there was
another emotion on his face. He seemed gloomy. While looking at him, he suddenly caught my eye and gave me a smile.

I headed upstairs to my room because they were having a family moment after so long time.

TAEHYUNG’s POV:

- “I am done eating. Thank you.” I bowed and went upstairs.

I grabbed my diary and a water bottle and went to terrace.

- “The stars are bright today, aren’t they?” Y/N was staring at the sky.

- “Oh. Hi. I thought you were having dinner. That’s why I came here.” She
was startled.

- “I don’t have a good appetite today.” I said while sitting on the chair.

- “Okay. Have a good night.” She started heading down.

- “Already? Sit with me and let’s talk. It’s been years we haven’t seen each
other and spoke freely.” I held her hand and stopped her.

- “How have you been?” I asked while looking into her eyes which were
looking so bright.

- “Tell me about you. You look gloomy. Not the boy i used to know.” She
exclaimed as if she already knew I was being bothered by something.

- “You know, my parents have been putting pressure on me that I should
now take over the company. The thing is I don’t want to.” Suddenly she
held my hand.

- “I have always told you to do whatever you want to do. I know you don’t like your uncle aunty because they just want business from you but you cannot do anything because after your parents death, they only took care of you.” She said while I started tearing up.

The wind started blowing heavily and despite sitting in a cold weather I could feel warmth around me. I have always had a soft spot for y/n because she had that aura that could flutter any sad heart.

- “So what are you up to nowadays? Didn’t you made enough money to
leave this country and settle abroad?” I asked because I was curious
about the things that happened with her when I was gone.

- “Well, I have made money but I want to live here for few more months.”
She chuckled.

- “Do you still have this? I thought it would’ve been worn off till now.” She pointed at the handkerchief that was coming out of my pants pocket.

- “This was given by you, so why wouldn’t I preserve it? I still owe you for that day.” I held her hand.

- “I remember the day I lost my parents. I was crying near the paved road when the people were panicking and calling for an ambulance. When
some people took me to an orphanage where I couldn’t sleep the whole
night and you held my hand and wiped my tears with this handkerchief. I still remember the smell this handkerchief had back then. Thank you for being with me till now.” I kissed her hands.

She blushed and drew her hands away.

- “You know, you don’t have to mention.” She said while getting up. - “I’ll get going otherwise your parents will come here. Sleep well.” She ran
her hand through my ruffled hair.

I came to a conclusion on my way back home that she is the one that draws me back here. I am glad that I am home. I have waited for being loved and cherished by here and especially for the moment when I will finally propose her.
