Me And The Midnight Blues

Tenderly wrap me in the cumulus clouds

And pull me far into the deep ocean blue of the sky

I wish upon your unending star—guide me to heights unknown and hug me close, dearest horizon

Let us dance and set me free like the dead leaves of autumn

Caress me in cool rays whilst whispering wistfully in my ears

Endow your frosted peace upon me

And allow me to drown in the sky lit ink

Bury me among the luminescent stars

And pull me deep into the deep ocean blue of the sky

Embrace and hold me gently with the indiscriminate love of my mother, dearest horizon

Leave me limp like a doll with no strings attached, then allow the invisible wings on my back to take flight

Caress me in the moon haze

Bestow your frosted peace upon me and give me war

And drown me in the twilt ink

Cast stardust through my poetry and the midnight blues
