Soooo....I had an assignment where I had to artistically interpret a theme from a movie with music or a musical. I chose The Prince of Egypt for my assignment. It went pretty well and I drew something for it.

The hand symbolizes the many nationalities and races that have been enslaved throughout history and how many have tried to break free but couldn't and how many lives were slain, which is shown by the blood dripping down

The dove symbolizes peace and embodies God. For many years, the dove has meant peace and love, so in this drawing, it represents the peace and tranquility one receives with being freed from people and things that try to hold us back. The broken chain embodies the motion of being freed because we have gone to God with our problems and he has taken us away from it.

It took me a while to draw it, but my favorite part was the Dove. I had a lot of fun with the wings and the little piece of greenery. All of it was hand drawn, a couple reference pics were used, but not many. Hope you like it!!!
