Even though Ryder was sad, his spirit was not broken, he sang a lullaby, that his father use to sing to him every night (A/N: on top of the page), as Ryder spun around the attic, he knew that the ball and his time with the princess, would become beautiful distance memories, like those of his mother and father, and his golden childhood. . .

As Ryder kept singing in a gentle tone as he sat near the attic window, and looking outside, the five pups had an idea. . .

Back down stairs the Captain and Earl were just about to leave

"Very well, our task here is done, Earl" The captain said to the Earl

"and fate yet be kind to us boys" Humdinger said to his nephews

Back in the attic, Chase told Marshall to open the window, Marshall did what he was told, a soon as Marshall opened the Window, Ryder followed the pups lead as he kept singing. . .

Just as the Earl and the Captain were about to leave, they heard singing from distance, at that point Humdinger knew that the Earl and captain heard the singing, so he tried to just ignore it. . .

"do you hear that Captain?" The Earl said 

The captain just stood there, before responding. . .

"Let's be off, your Earliness" The captain said, but the Earl spoke up again

"Just a moment" The Earl started, as he looked at Humdinger, who slowly tried to close the door, trying to ignore, the situation . . .

"Sir" The Earl asked, Humdinger who was in complete pause "there's no?, other servants in your house?" Earl asked

Humdinger just stood there, and responded. . . "No" He said as he shook his head, trying to lie      

"Then has your dog learned to sing?" Earl asked in a serious tone 

As, Sweetie just barked 

"Oh!" Humdinger laughed, as he still stood there wide eye, hoping that the singing would stop 

"it's been enough acting, your Earliness, let's be off" The Captain said 

"But he's lying, Captain!'" The Earl said to the Captain 

"Nonsense!, I trust the man" The captain said to the Earl "Were leaving!"

"Captain" a familiar voice was heard from one of the guards

both the Captain and the Earl turned to see who it was, it was the queen, Katie, as Katie removed the guard hat and the cape, as the Earl and the Captain both bowed down to show respect 

"your highness" Humdinger whispered as, he too also bowed down 

"what sweet singing, makes me want to tear just a little" Katie said 

"Your highness I-I-I" the captain started, but was cut off by Katie 

"Earl would you be so kind as to investigate?" Katie asked the Earl

"It would be my pleasure, your majesty" The Earl responded with a smile, and with a bow, as Katie smiled back.
