Knuckles faced Sonic in his emerald green eyed gaze. There was only a silent moment for six simple seconds until Sonic broke the silence as he said, "Is there something ya wanted to tell me before I go Knuckles?" Knuckles nods and blushed at the same time before he said, "Sonic? I know I never said this really much because... Well because I was really shy but now the time has come to tell you what I shoulda told you a long time ago. *takes deep breath* Sonic? Ever since you and I have first met it was like faith had brought us together. You always have been the best thing that's ever happen to me. Despite what people around here think or say you always have my back. You have been such a good person whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on or whenever I needed to hang out with someone when I feel alone." Knuckles hesitates before he gathered up all his courage an said, "I just wanna say I love you Sonic." That made SOnic blushed before the red echidna cry and hugged him tight. KNuckles felt like he never want to let go of the love of his life when he felt his soft blue ocean fur. Though when he sees Sonics face he was embarrassed. Sonic said still blushing, "Knuckles? Do you really mean it?" Knuckles nodded and Sonic gave him a small smile. Sonic said happily, "Oh Knuckles. I'm so happy. Cause I love you too... I'm gonna miss you so much." KNuckles replied as he broke the hug though he was happy Sonic felt the same way, "Oh Sonic. I'm gonna miss you so very much too." Then with one swift moment they kissed each other on the lips for a full minute before both broke the kiss and gazed into Knuckles violet eyes. Sonic thought, "Maybe I should give it to him after all." That's when the blue hedgehog pulled out a reddish blue necklace out of his scarf and placed it on Knuckles neck and said, "This is something to remember me by. Since I was so nervous to give it to you I thought you would think it was silly. But I guess it was silly of me thinking of that." KNuckles said as he smiled, "Thank you Sonic. I promise I'll never forget you as long as I wear this." Sonic said as he smiled back, "Thank you so much Knux. Because I'm not gonna forget you either. Maybe one day I'll come visit you on Angel Island. But until then I'll always think of you." Knuckles smiled and cried at the same time. Sonic then said, "Thank you for everything Knuckles the echidna." Manic yelled out, "Hey Sonic let's go home." Knuckles then watched Sonic go towards his brother who was smiling. He watched the two laughing while talking as they walked away further and further away until they were nowhere in sight. Knuckles said, "Goodbye my love. I'll never forget you... Sonic the Hedgehog." Knuckles then stood up and said to himself, "Well... Looks like its my time to go back home." Tails butted in, "But Knuckles you don't have a home." Boomer said sadly, "Umm...Tails? Thats not what he meant? Have you forgotten what he has to do when Sonic leaves?" Tails eyes widened and said, "Your leaving too Knuckles?" The red echidna nodded and said, "Well yes Tails. Since there nothing left for me here its time for me to go back to Angel Island where I belong. I may also resume my duties over there too. I'm sorry to leave you all but there is nothing left for me now. farewell guys." With that said Knuckles walked away to the direction Sonic was at but this time it was his time to go back home. Tails sighed sadly as Boomer comfort him and said, "Look at the bright side bud. At least they are happy." Tails replied as he sniffed, "Your right they sure are. I'm gonna miss them." Boomer said as they looked at the sky, "Me too pal. Me too."
