me and my team are currently in Seattle working on a case of a kidnapping, I was reviewing the photos with Emily in front of a cafe when someone bumped into Emily. I looked up and saw what I never wanted to see ever again, especially after my death

"y/n?" the guy asked

VINNIES POV
I had invited my girlfriend and my friends to Seattle because why not? we were walking to one of my favorite cafes when I bumped into a dark haired women and then the other girl looked up slowly.

"y/n" I asked

"it can't be, you're d-dead" maddy said on the verge of tears

"baby, who is this?" nicole said

"I can explain" y/n said with Emily beside her

"the fact that you faked your death?" jordon spoke, clearly angry at her

"we can talk inside" emily said opening the door for us

we sat down at a table and waited for y/n to start talking, expecting every last detail

"when I was at Interpol, I got legally married to a criminal. I knew what I was getting into but I had to do it no matter what. I went as an undercover agent and found out everything about him. After a few moths of aging enough trust he told me he had a kid, which I originally knew as the maids kid but it was really his. The CIA arrested him and I took away his son and protected at all costs. He made a escape out of prison and went after me and anybody I had made contact with. So I faked my death to get away from him but he later found out while he was in Paris. I took him to his kid with my team and he ended up dead." she spoke

"so you faked your death to get away from your ex-husband" troy said confused

"you were married?" maddy said in shock

"you did all that so you wouldn't die then" I asked her

"basically, I couldn't risk losing anyone" she said sincerely

"this is your ex?" nicole spoke up angrily

"I'm gonna get going" y/n said quickly standing up and gathering her belongings walking out of the cafe, along with Emily on her side

I grabbed emily's forearm and spun her around to face me with y/n still walking

"what vincent"

"I still love her"

"you can't, she's married now and if you love her you must allow her to be happy"

"but-"

"she will always love you no matter what, you were her first love either way vinnie" emily said walking away as I looked over and saw y/n and reid hugging

I had lost her forever
