Conjugation –  Refers to how a verb changes to show a different person, tense, number or mood. In other words it is the process of changing verb into past, present and future tense.

Korean use three kinds of CONJUGATION. Casual, Polite and Honorific. It depends on whom they are talking to.

Just same for example you committed something and you want to say sorry.

Sorry in Korean is 미안하다/Mianhada.

• USE IT IN CASUAL WAY which is sa kaibigan mo. Close friends mo or sa mas bata sa 'yo. You can say, MIANHAE/미안해, means I'M SORRY.

• USE IT IN POLITE WAY or sa magalang na paraan like sa nanay mo o kahit sinong alam mong mas matanda sa 'yo. You can say, MIANHAEYO/미안해요, means I'M SORRY.

• USE IT IN HONORIFIC WAY or sa mas magalang na paraan. You are apologizing on someone has a higher position than your mother. Let us say CEO of a company or your school principal. You can say, MIANHAMNIDA/미안합니다, means I'M SORRY.

NOTE: Kaya mag-ingat kayo sa pagkokorean kasi baka maya-maya casual form yung ginagamit nyo tapos matanda pala o di mo kaclose yung kinakausap mo. Mababastusan sila sa inyo. Halimbawa nalang na-excite ka kasi may nakita kang koreano for the first time tapos sinabi mo agad na 'Ya! Annyeong!' which means Hey! Hi!

Sa inyo parang normal lang yun pero sa mga korean nakakaoffend yun. If stranger palang better use ANNYEONGHASEYO.

Balik na tayo sa topic. Haha sanaol binabalikan!

Conjugation of Verbs into CASUAL Form

Verb stem + 어, 아, 여 or 해

- - -

Rule#1

Add 아 to a verb/adjective kapag ito ay may last vowel na 오 or 아. Like(가다,살다 etc..)

Here the examples:

1. 오다 to live
First removed the 다 Para makuha ung verb stem.

[Please be reminded na in every verb you'll encounter. Don't mind the word 다/da at the end of the verb kasi dictionary form lang yan. Lagi nyo sya aalisin kapag nagcoconjugate dahil VERB STEM lang ang mahalaga.]

오 is the verb stem.
오 +아 = 와 (Not 오아)

2. 가다 to go
Always removed the 다.

가 Is the verb stem. Wala siyang batchim kaya 아 ang ilalagay mo sa dulo
가+아 = 가아

Note: Kapag ganitong situation aalisin nyo nalang yung 아 sa dulo kasi ang pangit paringgan. Isang tunog lang naman siya.

So it will become 가.

가+아= 가
