It was a clear night sky as the moon was shining in the night sky as I was looking down at the city below from a top of a hill with a smile on my face.
"You seem cheerful today did something happen that got you excited?" Seiryu said as he appeared next to me. Seiryu was my brother and one of the four beast gods that protect the four corners of Japan with him guarding the West part of Japan and I the south. We been keeping Japan safe for many years defeating demons and other nasty creatures that harm the souls of the living or dead sort of speak.
"Just admiring the night sky and the city. Hard to believe these humans have come so far to build buildings like these." I said
"Yes it something but still I think the humans are growing way to fast and getting to arrogant becoming self centered." Seiryu said as he poured me a small cup of sake.
"That may be true brother but don't forget us gods fall to our own arrogance and self centerless sometimes and that we cause more harm then good from a point of view." I said as I took a sip of Sake.
"Perhaps your right but still sometimes I wonder do these humans ever look back at the past and see how life was back then?" Seiryu asked
"That I don't know brother but I can tell you this not all of the humans are bad some I find interesting like take the shrine maidens they have a job to keep the shrine safe from demons and evil hell even some of them become warriors so they can't be all bad." I replied
"True humanity has come a long way since our time but still we must keep the safety of our land safe the best way we can." Seiryu said as I poured myself another glass of sake and sighed.
"You were always to serious brother lighting up a little but then again that's one of your strong points I guess." I said as I poured my brother a cup of Saki.
"Yeah right." Seiryu said with a chuckle as the both of us looked at the night sky and talked some more as I asked how's our sisters doing as Seiryu replied by saying they where doing okay keeping their zones clear of any baddies that might harm their zones. That was good to hear. You see my brother and love our sisters we have each others backs sure we have our disagreements but not over the top ripping each others head off disagreements but still where a family
"I best be going I catch you later Brother." Seiryu said before he vanished into mist leaving me to my own devices as I thought to myself th night is still young might as well see the night life as I transformed into my Phoenix form and flew towards the city. Looking around I saw a nice quite place to transform back into my human form wearing some regular clothes before heading out
