FREEDOM
You shouldn't be here, little lady.

Bucky's fingers danced over Odessa's thighs and hips. He placed a soft kiss down on her shoulder blade, making her smile. She hadn't ever felt so content or safe. It was a feeling she didn't feel often, so whenever she did, she appreciated it.

"O?" Bucky whispered into her ear, his arm wrapping tighter around her waist to pull her closer. "What's it like out there?" It had been years since he last went outside and whenever they transported him, they made sure he was unconscious.

"Outside?" Odessa questioned, making Bucky hum in response. She shrugged before saying, "Its beautiful. The sun on your skin, the wind in your face." She paused. "The sand between your toes, the sound of the ocean." She smiled, her favourite place to visit was the beach.

To Bucky that sounded like freedom, something he could only dream of. Something that Odessa needed to get back too before it was too late.

"Time for training, James." A doctor shouted as he banged on the door, making Odessa jump and pull the covers further up to cover her naked body. Bucky let out a chuckle, placing a kiss on her lips before standing up.

He longed for the physical contact. Her lips against his. Her skin against his. He missed it. The feeling of being so close to another.

Odessa sat up and watched sadly, as he got dressed. This would be the last time that she saw him and it brought a great sadness. She would miss him.

"So, this is goodbye." She spoke up as he turned to look her, his shirt in his hands. Bucky signed and nodded. "Thank you, for hiding me."

She was truly going to miss the man, despite only knowing him a few days she felt connected to him.

"Any time." He chuckled, sitting down beside the girl. His hand cupped her cheek as he placed a longing kiss on her forehead. His lips lingered for a minute, she brought his hand up to her lips and placed a kiss over his knuckles. "I'll miss you, Cherry." He whispered, pulling away. "You stay safe for me." He stood up and pulled on his shirt, walking out of the room.

He couldn't bare to look at her one last time. He knew that if he did, that he would cave and beg her to stay. But he knew better than to think he could hide her from HYDRA for the rest of their lives-

-however long that may be.

Odessa slowly stood up, and got dressed back into her uniform. She needed to go home, not that she would be missed if she didn't. Her foster parents didn't care about her that much, they just wanted the pay check. She wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't noticed that she wasn't home.

She peered through the blinds and saw that there was no doctors or guards in the hallway, so she gripped the ID card tightly and opened the door. The brunette took off in a run, she needed to get out of there without being caught.

She scanned the card, which opened up the door to the stairs, she slowly made her way up the stairs. What Odessa was least expecting was two men standing at the top of the stairs with guns in their hands.

"Fuck." She whispered, turning around and seeing two other men with guns. One of the men walked up to her and gripped her bicep. She knew better than to fight.

"You shouldn't be here, little lady." The guard spoke, his grip on her bicep tightening, making her wince. She wanted to so badly shout for Bucky, but she didn't want to get him into trouble for hiding her. She could only imagine how much trouble he would get in.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see anything I swear." She panicked, as she tried to pull away. The guard placed his gun against her temple, making her eyes widen and her shut up.

He nodded towards another guard, who simply opened up a door, it was a room very similar to Bucky's. The only difference was that the furniture was in different places.

"In you go." The guard pushed her in. "What are we going to do with you?" He tutted closing the door.

"Let me out." Odessa shouted, running up to the door and banging against it. "I didn't see anything. Let me go home." She begged, tears streaming down her face fearfully.

Odessa let out an angered scream, slamming her fist against the door before sliding down and pulling her knees up into her chest. She allowed herself to let out a sob. She was regretting her choice to leave Bucky now more so than before.

~

Bucky panted as he walked back towards his room with clenched fists, knowing that he was returning to an empty room.

He hated knowing that she wasn't going to be there waiting for him with a smile and a sarcastic comment.

All the could think of that he was glad she would be safe. That she got out without getting caught.

He already missed her. He wasn't sure if it was because she was the first person who he had shared a physical contact with in a long time or if it was because he felt some sort of emotional connection with her almost immediately.

He could still taste her lips on his. The familiar cherry taste that brought a soft smile to his face and made his once cold heart warm.
