SHIELD
I'm an excellent thief if I do say so myself.

Odessa stood between Bucky's legs. Her arms wrapped around his torso and her head buried in the crook of his neck. He hadn't said a word since they got back on the jet.

His hands rested on the small of her back, pulling her as close as possible. He didn't want her to leave him.

He sat on top of a box of crates whilst Sam laid across the seats, his arms crossed as he looked at the couple.

Everything on the jet seemed tense, not one of the three had said anything and Sam was beginning to feel like a third wheel as he kept looking over to Odessa and Bucky.

They were good for each other. She kept him grounded and made him feel less alone. Bucky needed Odessa the same way that Odessa needed Bucky.

Sam didn't know the girl before she met Bucky, he didn't even hear about her until after they met. But he knew of her reputation. Being with Bucky changed that, despite her still stealing from time to time it wasn't ever as bad as what she was like before.

"You alright?" Sam spoke up, breaking the silence.

Bucky merely nodded, causing Odessa to pull away slightly and for Bucky's grip to tighten.

Odessa's eyes softened as she looked to Bucky. Her hands cupped his cheeks and she pressed her lips against his softly.

He really didn't know what he would do without the girl. He doesn't know how to live his life without her. She was his everything.

"I'm not going anywhere." She whispered softly, causing him to relax. She allowed her hands to trail down his chest and begin to fiddle with his dog tags. Bucky smiled and pressed his lips against her temple.

He was so beyond thankful for the girl. She knew when he needed her. She knew when to stay and she knew when to give him his space. And right now, he needed her.

"Let's take the shield, Sam." Bucky spoke up. His voice was hoarse, since he hadn't spoken in a while. "Let's take the shield and do this ourselves."

He knew that Sam wouldn't ever actually go along with the idea. But he wanted that shield back. It didn't belong to John Walker. It belonged to Sam. Steve gave the shield to Sam, making it his.

"We can't just run up on the man, beat him up and take it." Sam responded.

Sam knew that Bucky would already know this and that he was just saying it because he was angry. But he thought that he would just reiterate just to be on the safe side.

"Why not? He deserves it and I'm an excellent thief if I do say so myself." Odessa replied a little cockily. Bucky chuckled softly at her words, his fingers tracing patterns on her skin.

"Yes you are, baby." Bucky whispered.

He placed his lips against her shoulder. Her skin was always so soft. He loved the way that no matter how stupid or reckless his plan was, that she would always go along with him.

"Do you remember what happened the last time we stole it?" Sam questioned curiously as he sat back up.

Odessa nodded, her thumb running over the name on Bucky's dog tags. She let out a small sigh as Bucky's grip on her waist tightened and pulled her onto the crate with him.

"Maybe." Bucky shrugged. Of course he remembered, he was in Wakanda at the time but Steve, Sam, Wanda and Natasha were all on the run.

He missed Wakanda, he found peace in the place. He found a safe haven. He was with Odessa doing the most mundane things. And they were happy. All he wanted to be was happy.

"I'll help you incase you forgot." Sam looked towards the man. "Sharon was branded enemy of the state, and Steve and I were on the run for two years."

Odessa lowered her head as she remembered Natasha. She missed the girl dearly, which didn't go unnoticed by Bucky as he gave her waist a small squeeze.

"I don't know about you, but I don't wanna live the rest of my life la vida loca." Sam paused, his tone softening. "We just got our ass handed to us by Super Soldiers, and we got nothing."

"Not entirely true." Bucky shook his head. He lightly tapped the girls thighs, causing her to jump down and him follow.

Bucky went to sit beside Sam, whilst Odessa jumped back onto the crate. Bucky looked across to her and she gave him a soft smile.

She wondered if he was actually going to tell Sam about Isaiah. He had told Odessa whilst they were in Romania. There's wasn't a thing that the girl didn't know about him or his past. He wanted to make sure that she new everything so that there were no surprises later on.

Plus, he wanted her to know his past incase she decided she didn't want to stay. He thought that she had the right to know.

His eyes flickered up to the brunette, who fiddled with the hem on her shirt. He smiled softly at her, her hair fell perfectly in front of her eyes. She looked so beautiful.

Bucky let go of an nervous sigh before saying,

"There is someone that you should meet."
