It was New Years Eve and Chiquis' parents were having a New Years dinner.
"So what are we going to have for dinner tonight?" Juan asked as everyone sat in the living room as Yara, Jacqie, Yris, and Chiquis cooking.
"I don't know, just go in the kitchen and see what the two ladies are cooking." Javier said.
"Isn't sad that none of us can cook like mom, Jacqie, Yris, and Chiquis?" Jenicka asked.
Yadira shrugged.
"If you can't stand the heat in the Ki then you shouldn't be in the kitchen." Yadira answered.
An hour later, the food was ready and everyone gathered in the dining room.
"Okay, Ronnie say a prayer." Juan said.
Ronnie nodded and cleared his throat.
"God is great and God is good, Let us thank Him for our food; By His blessings, we are fed, Give us Lord, our daily bread. Amen." Ronnie said.
"Amen." Everyone repeated.
After dinner was over, the rest of the night went by really fast.
Before anyone knew it, it was 11:50.
Ronnie and Chiquis decided to lead the family outside for fireworks.
"Who lighting them?" Chiquis asked.
"I'll do it." Diego answered.
Yara looked at her phone and started the count down.
"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone exclaimed.
"Happy New Year, Chiquis." Ronnie said.
"Happy New Year, Ron." Chiquis said.
They leaned in and kissed.
