It was the day of quidditch tryouts and officially the first try-out as Cassiopeia the captain, Draco, Theodore, Crabbe, Goyle, and Higgs as the keeper were already on the team, and there was only one position of a new chaser and keeper open.

Against Blaise was Rookwood and for the keeper were Bulstrode and Evans.
When the tryouts started, Blaise was actually doing quite well, better than Rookwood, and Cassiopeia felt quite proud of him. On the other hand, Bulstrode was quite good, too, and Evans was lacking behind.

Cassiopeia got the attention of the Slytherins by calling them out loudly and in a firm voice, her cruel mean  cold demeanour intact

"Listen Up, so there are only two places one keeper and one chaser, if you get the chance to be a part of the Slytherin quidditch team it won't be easy, we Slytherins haven't lost the quidditch cup for years now and I don't intend on breaking the record if any of you don't give your one hundred per cent i will make sure to make your lives a living hell-" Cassiopeia uttered the last part in a slow... daunting way, the team knew not to cross their new captain and incompetence might result in loss of limbs
" the new chaser is Zabini and the keeper is Bulstrode, I want your asses on this ground every morning before class, practice until your limbs fall out or you faint yourself to exhaustion"

The new additions were confident as much as the other members that this year would be no different than the others.

That evening Cassiopeia stood in the secluded area of the forest where the herd of thestrals was kept, she wanted to try out a few spells... dark arts-related spells... it wasn't possible to use them on students.. even though she wished to... she choose to tackle a few Thestrals,

She whipped out her wand and pointed it at one of the Thestrals,

"Sanguis excrucia

The charm hit the animal. It lay on the ground crying in excruciating pain, blood dripping from cuts forming one by one. It works, Cassiopeia thought. She managed to create a dark spell that would slowly kill the enemy by a thousand cuts. She approached the animal and muttered the reverse spell. There was a part of her that hated her actions and a part that felt as if its screams were some symphony.

She cleaned the cuts on the horse-like animal when she heard footsteps approaching her, Cassiopeia didn't turn her head, she waited for the person to speak

" Hello Cassiopeia " Luna smiled at the Slytherin prefect,

Cassiopeia stood up from the ground and faced the Ravenclaw.

Luna grabbed an apple from her bag and threw at the baby Thestral, she was disappointed when she saw it wasn't eating the treat.

"you might want to give them some meat if you have any"

Luna took a piece of meat out of her bag and threw it toward the baby Thestrals, a smile graced Luna's lovely face when she saw the animal devour the treat.

"I saw my mum die if that's what you are wondering staring at my face"

An amused chuckle left Cassiopeia's lips when she heard Luna's comment, this was the first time Luna had seen Cassiopeia smile, even if it was barely visible.

"I'm sorry to hear that, I understand the loss of mother" Luna's smile never faltered when she asked "Cedric-I suppose"

Cassiopeia retaliated her goofy smile with a sincere one " No, I was too young, can't remember the specifics" Cassiopeia lied, she remembered everything.

She remembers how her father the dark lord, was holding her in his arms, cooing slowly as he whipped his wand out, the man in front begged for mercy, he believed the lord of darkness would have a show of mercy in front of his little girl, The spark of light hit the man's chest and baby Delphine saw the soul leave the man's eyes, she turned her head and rested it against the crook of her father's neck, Lord voldemort placed his cold veiny hand on the tiny back and rocked his daughter, pleased to be their for her first witness of a murder, it was a loving and bonding experience in his own twisted sense.
