Never!

"You can't do this! You'll never win! Never! I won't allow it!" Peter shouted, running back and forth across the living room.

"Really, boy?" His aunt waved with a plastic weapon in her hand. "It remains to be seen," she continued in a deeper voice, trying not to start laughing, because she knew she couldn't spoil the game under any circumstances. Her nephew loved playing heroes, and since the recent death of his parents, it was one of the few activities in which his face was adorned with a smile."You have no chance against me. And when I defeat you, I will carry out my plan."

"Never! Defend yourself!" Little Peter jumped on the couch, waved his arms around him, and went to fight with his aunt, if you could call it that. "Pfffff," he finally said, his tiny hands indicated an explosion, then sliding down by his body.

"Aunt ... I've killed you now. You have to lie on the ground and be dead," he said, slightly disappointed when May didn't move. Without a word, she lay down on the floor, spread her arms and legs as if to make an angel in the snow, and she stuck out her tongue. Peter laughed out loud and applauded.

"Yeah!" he jumped to the ground and sat down next to his aunt, who was still clinging to her role."You can come to life again." May turned her head and smiled at him. Peter smiled even more and revealed a few missing teeth.

"And now we'll have the snack." The woman got up slowly, ruffled his hair, but Peter's hair was already protruding in all directions, and walked slowly into the kitchen. Peter remained sitting on the floor, just looking at her.

"Uncle's back!" he shouted excitedly, when he heard the door unlocked. Peter ran across their flat to welcome Ben.

"Pete, why aren't you sleeping? Is there something wrong?"

"I-I had a nightmare," he sobbed and looked down disgracefully. He shouldn't came here, he should hid under a blanket and endured it. Now his auntie will definitely think he's weak and will laugh at him just like the kids at school did. At that moment a white light flooded the room, another thunder sounded, louder than the other ones before. The boy screamed and hid his teary face in his hands.

"Calm down, honey, it's just a storm, come here," she she pulled back the blanket and spread her arms, which he slipped quickly into. She hugged him and began stroking his dark hair.

"I promise that when I grow up, I won't be afraid of anything and will protect you from evil," he muttered into her chest when she had little time to fall asleep again. "I love you and I won't let anything happen to you." What if he lost his aunt just like he lost his parents? Then he would be completely alone.

"I know that," she smiled and kissed his hair. "And I won't let anyone hurt you in any way either."

"What if I was kidnapped by a villain?" Her nephew began to ask and looked at her, though it was impossible to recognize in the dark. He didn't want to fall asleep, the nightmare would definitely return.

"I wouldn't stop looking for you until I had you back with me."

"Would you follow me to the end of the world?"

"Of course." The smile didn't leave May's face, and she printed the little boy closer.

"Me too," Peter whispered. "And what would you do with that villain?" he asked another question after a moment of silence.

"He wouldn't survive," she laughed.

"So you would save me like superheroes do?"

"I would have flown in in a metal suit and burned them all with a laser that would fired from my hands."

"Like Ironman!" Peter exclaimed excitedly.

"Exactly like him." Superheroes were an integral part of Peter's life. Ever since he learned to read, he had constant comics in his hands and don't you dare to tell him something wrong about their abilities. You wouldn't have a chance to avoid the lecture. Even in the previous sentence, May had to be careful not to say iron. She'd hear again that it wasn't technically correct and the suit was made of gold and ... something else. She didn't remember it.

"Just, it's not quite laser-"

"Didn't you get over it yet?" The hoarse voice interrupted the young man's thoughts. Tony sat down next to Peter lying on the bed and gently stroked the boy's back.

"Wwy dwo peopvl lie?" Peter whimpered a question into the pillow instead of the desired answer.

"I don't understand you, just look at me when you have something you want to say to me, okay?"

"Why do people lie?"

Today I have a little flashback for you. I hope you liked it.

And before anyone asks, I meant that Iron man only exists here in comics, but it's not our Tony. :)
