Chapter 12 Scout Recruitment

The Military Police Brigade were now checking the ODM Gear of the Newly Graduated Recruits after two Titan Test Subjects were killed and they were finding the culprit.

"When was the shaft last replaced?" A Military Police asked Y/N

"Six days ago. after the cleaning operations." Y/N answered

"He checks out." The female Military Police said

"Okay, next!" The man said

"Good thing that shorty didn't get caught." Y/N thought

Y/N and Annie were leaning on a wall the other night.

"Annie, I heard there were two Titan Test Subjects. I need you to kill them." Y/N whispered

"So you think the same thing too?" Annie asked

"Yeah. We can't let them analyze those two." Y/N said

"But why's it have to be me?" Annie asked

"You're small." Y/N said

"I also have to join the Survey Corps to keep an eye on Eren. Just let Reiner and Bertholdt do whatever they want whether they follow you or me." Y/N added

"Okay. Just don't get caught or killed." Annie said

"Heh. You're worried for me? I'm honored." Y/N said and Annie just let out a sound of annoyance.

Y/N was looking at Jean clenching his fist.

"Jean really was serious about joining the Survey Corps... huh?" Y/N mumbled

"Did you say something, Y/N?" Christa asked

"Nothing." Y/N said

The recruits attended the recruitment ceremony of the scouts. Y/N was seen leaning on a wall with Armin, Annie, Sasha, and Connie. Jean suddenly walked up to them.

"Jean! Are you really sure about this?" Armin asked

"Yeah." Jean replied

"Heh. You of all people. I never expected you to join rhe Survey Corps." Y/N said

"Why the change of heart? I mean, aren't you scared?" Sasha asked

"What? Of course I'm scared of joining the Survey Corps." Jean asked

"Th-Then why would you?" Connie asked

"It's not at all because I'm not scared of Titans. I'm not thinking, 'Those with skills should join the Survey Corps' either. I'm different from that reckless idiot." Jean said

"Eren, huh? He's already in the Survey Corps, isn't he?" Connie asked

"Yeah. He was taken in custody by the Survey Corps, but it was better than being take to custody by the Military Police." Y/N said

"Recruits, file in! Line uo before the stage!" A member of the Survey Corps said

"You know, I'm not putting my life on the line because I was persuaded to. At the very least, this isn't a decision someone else can make for me." Jean said walking away

The others followed the recruits and lined up infront of the stage.
