Ponytail bobbing up and down Yecenia sways to the music while Christine hangs off of the railing above her, one hand holding the guard rail and the other fist outstretched singing the final lyrics. The lights cut off and the two girls make their way quickly down the stairs trying to beat the rush out the door. Before they hit the last stair the music revs back up, the lights dramatically swing forward to highlight the band; it's time for the encore. Everyone freezes screaming manically in excitement. The two continue down the stairs until they're at the mouth of the tunnel. Yecenia pauses confident they can still make a break and beat the rush when the concert ends. The two turn back to the stage, enjoying this extra experience. The song is a classic, one that every fan knows, which is quickly proven through the entire stadium singing the words just as loudly as the enormous speakers.
"You girls can't stay here. Find a seat or head out." A security guard shouts, approaching the two from the other end of the tunnel.
Yecenia looks around worriedly trying to find an empty chair while Christine pretends not to hear the guard, jumping up and down. The guard continues towards them raising her voice louder in an attempt to actually be heard. "You two need to move it, now. We can't have people blocking the exit."
Yecenia tugs Christine back towards the stairs they had just descended. She goes grudgingly giving the security guard an annoyed glance. They walk part way up the stairs before Christine turns back around just as the music hits the crazy beat and lights start flashing everywhere. Wildly she dances on the stairwell coming close to the edge, and falling, multiple times. Yecenia grabs the edge of her jacket knowing it's more of a gesture than practical since it's so threadbare it would rip if Christine really embraced gravity.
While Christine loses herself in the music Yecenia glances down in time to see the guard eyeball them. The guard stops at the bottom of the stairs and gestures for the two to come down to her. Christine laughs and dances wildly at her retreating back a few steps, forcing Yecenia to backup as well.
The guard shakes her head annoyed. She steps onto the first step and then disappears in a cloud of dust as the entire stadium cracks under the shrieking of metal and concrete being ripped apart, plunging everything into darkness.
