"You brought her right on time. If you hadn't,she would be a dead person ",I hear the doctor say to my so called parents as I pretend to be asleep.
My dad simply hums in agreement and looks at me if not glaring at me, or at least it feels like it. I can feel him glaring at me right now.
Guy seriously thought I would die. He never gives up. But again, so do I. Like father like daughter.
"But if i may ask,who caused that bullet wounds and the others before that, as it seems that she's been here ten times and it's always her being shot or even stabbed yet its never reported to the police or taken as serious as one would expect?",the doctor asks in concern.
"Asking question like that is the police's job and not your job, doctor. Now if you would kindly excuse us. We would like to be with our daughter privately",my mother says and I'm sure she spoke each word with a fake smile. I hear footsteps fading and the door shuts close which means the doctor left now.
"So you brought me early", I start, "-again",I say sitting up on the hospital bed. At first it was so uncomfortable but I eventually got used to it. I mean it became more of a habit of you ask me.
"But I waited a whole 2 hours before calling your mother and another hour before calling for help. Do you have any fucking idea how long that was and I checked your pulse, which was not there. You were also dead cold", Melvin,my father, says.
"Yeah what happened,you suddenly became a vampire or something?",Karen,my mother asks.
"Nope but now that this is over with,can we go home? I'm sure May and Ray are fucking pissed at how I left during lunch and didn't text or call,well mostly May",I say getting out of the bed.
Karen throws me a hoodie,sports bra and some leggings.
Melvin turns around while I get out of the hospital gown to wear my clothes.
"Where are my-",she cuts me off by throwing socks to me which hit my forehead and I quickly catch them before they fall down.
"Okay let's go before that lady comes back",I say while trying to tidy up the bed as though I wasn't on it.
"Did you just call her a lady?",Karen asks.
"Well I don't know her name and she sounded like one of those I'm too good for any shit but I'll try to be nice to the less privileged type of bitches so at least I'll give her that",I say shrugging.
"Race you down for a thousand",I say looking at them with a smirk to which they return before they run out the door and I head for the window.
