the sun greets me with kisses
on my bronze tainted skinhis kisses that leave soft freckles
on my face, my neck, my body
my body, his love has burntfrom the summers he loved me naked
naked, I love him to the moon and backgold glistens in my almond eyes
my eyes, twinkling like starlightwhen we dance under the sun
the sun that paints the sky
red, orange, yellow, pinkpink he colors my cheeks
like the sweetest peach
is soon to bloom in midsomerI recite the love poems he's written
in the twilight that falls upon mesummer's twilight fills the air with
the heat of our bodies touching
our bodies, holding on tightly
tightly, I hold him in my heartuntil the morning leads him
into my arms once more- February 26th, 2021
