"Hey mister Blake, do you need help with those bags" I said walking to my neighbors yard
"Oh hey sweetheart I would really appreciate it" he said
I went to his trunk and grabbed a bunch of grocery bags and started taking them in his house. About 2 more trips later were done.
"Thank you so much. It ain't much but this all I got" he said going in his wallet but I stopped him
He was about 70 years old and I knew him basically all my life. I used to play with his two grandkids but when we were about 7 his granddaughter was murdered due to gun violence and after that the grandson stopped coming around.
For some reason when they stopped coming around I was really hurt. I felt like everybody I hung around was leaving me at some point.
One of my uncles left a couple years back. Spook, he went Haiti because he said his spirit was being pulled there or something.
"No, it's okay. You have a good rest of your day" I said giving him a warm smile
"You too. Tell your grandpa I said hello" he said and I nodded
I walked back to my door and unlocked then opened it to see my uncle pop and a few of his friends sitting in living room.
I really don't like talking them so I tried to hurry upstairs but it didn't work, Pop called me to him.
"You can't speak to ya' favorite uncle?" He said looking hurt
"Hey pop" I said giving him a hug
"Wassup lil tootie" he said instantly annoying me
He knows I hate when people call me that.
"I have homework to go do" I lied
I felt eyes on me also making me uncomfortable so I hurried and went upstairs to my room. I took off my clothes and hopped in the shower.
About 15 minutes later I was done and I walked out and Chelly was in my bed scaring the hell out of me
"Where the hell did you come from?!" I said
"I told you I was coming over after I get off from work" she said looking me up and down while biting her lip
"But I ain't know I was walking into heaven though" she added licking her lips
