"y/n..." bill sighed, absentmindedly tracing his fingers along your cheekbone.

"hmm?" you replied, glancing up at him.

you were tucked under his arm, bill holding you close.  his eyes were fluttering open and shut, falling in and out of sleep. listening to the steady, strong beat of his heart was beginning to lull you into a drowsy state as well.

he pulled a plush blanket over you, humming softly. times like this were pure bliss; you and bill, able to spend this uninterrupted, quality time together. you cherished every second you had, basking in the warmth of his body.

"i love you," he began, voice steady as his heartbeat. "so much."

you bit back a smile, burying your face even deeper into his chest. it was the first time he had said that to you, and you had been waiting since the day you met him.

"i love you too, dumbshit." you laughed. he gently grasped your hand, bringing it up to his face and sprinkling your knuckles with kisses.

your eyes met, and you had never seen his so full with happiness.
