Sigh...

I sat down at my make-up table and started fixing up my make-up.

"Well, the only thing I have to do is wait until my part comes u-"

"Hey the, lose-
Oh, you're actually performing? I thought you were gonna give up and cry in your tent."

"And why would I do that?"

"I don't know, because you're a crybaby?"

...

"I'm not a crybaby, I'm just sensitive."

"Right, a crybaby, as I said."

I glared at her and growled.

"Oh, and a murderer. Why did my dad decide to keep you?
You can't do anything right and you're literally the most useless one in the entire circus."

I sighed, looking down in shame.

"You're not even a good clown. You're supposed to be funny and you can't even do that."

Sniff.

"Awh, is little baby gonna cry? Does little baby need her mommy to sing her to calm down?"

"God, I hate her.

I wish she'd just perish.

I want to cry, but I can't.

She's just gonna bully me more."

"Awh, come on! Don't tell me you're actually going to cry? Is-
Is that an actual tear I see?"

I sobbed, a few tears escaping my yellow eyes.

"I knew it! You are weak! Hah, weirdo!"

"Stop it.

Just stop.

Please, just stop!"

"Come on, Katie! Cry! Cry like the little bitch you are!"

She kept yelling at me and poking me in the head.

"Where did everyone go?

The room was full of people just a moment ago."

"What is it Katie?! Too afraid to talk back?!"

"That's it, I can't fucking take it anymore."

"Little bitch baby i-"

Snap.

...

"AAH-!" - she started crying after the scream.

"It sounds so good.

Her screams sound so wonderful, music to my ears, really."

"You're a monster!" - she continued crying, her voice getting louder each time she sobbed.

"I love it.

Every single second.

It felt so good."

"Oh my God, Madeleine what happened to you?!"

She couldn't speak from the pain she was experiencing.

My mom kneeled in front of her and examined her broken leg before speaking - "I'll get the car started." - she then turned to my dad and the new lady from this afternoon - "You two get her into the car, Katie" - she turned to me - "You'll have to go instead of Madeleine. Your part will begin right after the fire performance, understood?"

I just nodded my head, looking away and fixing my make-up once again since it got smudged from my tears.

...

After around five to ten minutes of everyone panicking, the tent filled with silence, aside from the crowd cheering the fire swallowers.

"Alright Katie, it's your turn. Take your shit and go."

I sighed, picking up a hula hoop and walking towards the stage.

"Wait...

I have to do something."

I put the hula hoop down and walked back to my make-up table, picking up the box of matches from my table and walking behind it.

"The gasoline.

I can smell it."

I got on one knee and lit the match up.

...

I threw it at the spot and saw the flame slowly getting bigger.

Getting back up, I put the box back on the table and run to the "stage", picking the hula hoop while doing so.

I started doing various tricks with the hula hoop, slowly approaching the exit of the tent while doing so.

After getting to the exist, I dropped the hoop.

R u n.

I ran out of the tent, not looking behind me.

After a little while, the fire started spreading quicker.

"Fire! Run everyone, quick!" - they shouted, fire now spreading wildly.

I managed to run far enough so that I don't get swallowed by the fire.

I looked back, watching as the fire spread even more, listening to their screams of terror and despair.

"It's finally happening.

I-I can't believe it!"

I started smiling slightly at the lovely sight.

It was truly beautiful to watch my home collapse in front of my eyes.

My smile slowly grew bigger, until it turned into a wide grin, my eyes sparkling in delight, the fire reflecting off them.

"It feels so great to finally see them suffer.

After all these years, it finally came to an end.

All my suffering, all my pain, it's all gone."

The fire was slowly spreading further and further until it swallowed the entire circus.

Soon enough, firefighters came to stop everything.

I watched them trying to put the fire out for a while before running into the forest.

I ran for good ten minutes or so, before stopping and collapsing on the floor.

Turning around to lay on my back, I looked up at the sky and sighed.

Around five minutes later, my eyes slowly closed and I drifted off to sleep.

Truly, it was the biggest show we've ever had.
