"Zai I love the back storage room, look how much space we could have" I said smiling while walking around
"Yeah this is the biggest space on the lot and it has an incredible parking garage. If someone has an appointment with you they will pay that $5.50 parking pass and that money goes right back to you" she said pulling out a clipboard
"Wow that's actually really nice" Zai said
"Yeah, this lot just opened up and people are already putting money down without even looking at it. That's how popular this place is"
"Zai what do you think of the lot, I love it" I said looking over at her
"I love it as well, very spacious" she said nodding her head at me
"Well Mrs.Lingg you have yourself a deal, we love it. Where can we sign" I said smiling looking over at Zai who was also smiling while walking towards us with her pen ready
"Yep here are the papers and legal forms. Also the constrcution team will be in touch" She said taking papers out her bag as Zai and I started to sign each of them
"Ok i'll have the key ready by tomorrow, it's all yours. Congrats ladies" She said smiling while walking to the door
"Zai we did it. Business women own this place period" I said swping underneath my chin
"I'm so happy we really did Kaylai" She said smiling as we both walked out the door
"Believe it. In a few months we both bout to be in their doing makeup and hair for a living making real checks" I said as we both walked back to my car since I drove here
"Yeah it's really reality. I ain't never think me going to sephora that day would end up with you and I starting a business less then 2 months later" I said starting my car as we backed out going back to my place
"Awww Kaylai same, I feel like it was definitely gods calling, but we should open up for business buy September since it's the middle of july and they need a few weeks to paint the walls and then we can add funiture"
"Yeah shouldn't take long, we finally can start decorating. I was thinking we do a brick wall theme and then on the other side a grass wall theme since it pops out the room better" I said
"Yesss, I like that. Like it's modern with a touch of taste to it" She said smiling
"Yeah, But it's been a few weeks since the incident happen with Imani and Khalil. They been staying over at my house and i'm not gon lie, I love it. It just feels like i've known them a long time and everything's just falling into place" I said smiling thinking back to how good my life is at this point
"Aww for real, at first I didn't know how you were gonna handle all that. Then I notice that you actually are really good to them and for them. After everything they've been through"
"I know, at first I was doing it to help Kari since he didn't want them staying over his house. But after that first week, I notice it wasn't just about Kari. I really love them kids and it broke my heart when I first found out how their life was like. I just had to help them"
"Exactly, Imani and Khalil shouldn't be going through all that as a teenager and a 5 year old girl. Trust me I just now get to start my life over without my mom in it, cause she was dead holding me back from everything in life"
But after a while you get exhausted" Zai finished saying while rolling down her window
"Yes, they don't deserve to be put into the childcare system all because their parents didn't take full responsibility for them"
