I looked at mom as she just stared at Sin with this weird expression on her face like I want to cry for you but also kill you at the same time. Finally opening her mouth to speak we both looked at her
"Why didn't you tell me 5 months ago" She said
"Because I wasn't sure if I was and I was scared to even bring it up to you"
"So did you go to the doctors to see if you were officially pregnant or you just think you are" Ma said
"Yes, I went to the doctors 1 month ago and they confirmed that I was a few months pregnant"
"Who took you cause I know you were scared to even drive there"
Taking a deep breath before I exposed myself I looked back at Sin nodding my head. "I took her to the appointment" Looking over at ma I watched as she changed face from mad to surprised
"Oh really" she said
"Yes, she told me that week and I quickly scheduled an appointment to see if she really was and yeah..I didn't want to be the one to say anything cause it ain't my place" I said while looking at her
"So y'all was just going to hide this from me until y'all felt like telling me, 5 months later"
"Ma I was scared I didn't know how you were going to take it"
"Serenity. How else you thought I was going to take it. My 16 year old daughter having sex and unprotected ones at that. Then you take her to the doctors instead of coming to me Kaylai" She said shaking her head while standing up walking to the sink
"I know mom I'm really-" Sin was saying but was cut off
"I don't wanna talk about shit else right now" She said before walking into the living and giving Imani a hug then looking back at us
"You can go Kaylai. Bring a plate with you for Khalil and Kari" She said before walking upstairs
"Well that went ok" Sin said
"Yeah I thought she was gon beat our ass, she really is upset with us. I guess we can give her time to think about everything" I said while going back into the pot and making a plate for Khalil and Kari
"Yeah for sure. She ain't even hear the rest of my sad life n how my baby's daddy is acting like an asshole right now. I feel like then she gon be pissed" She said getting up wobbling to the living room
"Yeah, y'all gon have to talk alone for that one" I said shaking my head
"Yeah I know, well since she ain't kick me out I'm about to go to bed. Come give me a hug Imani ain't seen you in so long missy"
"You saw me a couple of days ago" Imani said giggling as she hugged Sin
"Yeah that's a long time ago for me"

Laughing I walked into the living room with them after wrapping the food up. "Trust me Imani you don't want this bun"

"Yeah, you will find out in a couple of months what I meant" Sin said laughing
"Anyways, Imani go put your shoes on we're leaving babe"
