I got out of bed made my bed and freshened up when I came back to our chamber I saw that bhrata Yudhisthir and bhrata Bheem's were punting on their kavachs (Armors), Jyesht was on his bed and Nakul and Sahadev were still in bed
"Bhrata Sthir. Ha! That is a good nickname for you, anyway, why aren't Kul and Dev up yet?" I said
"They are tired." said Jyesht calmly
"Still! I'm waking them up." I said
"Nakul! Nakul!" I said shaking Nakul looked at Sahadev
"Sahadev! Sahadev!" I said shaking Sahadev they didn't budge I grunted and then smiled cheekily
"What are you going to do?" asked bhrata Yudhisthir
"You'll see." I said with a cheeky grin, I went and got two scary masks
"What are you going to with those" asked bhrata Bheem
"Not you, we." I said
"Jyesht you tell them that they are late and that gurudev is calling. And bhrata Bheem and I will wear these masks and scare them." I said wearing the mask
"Okay." said Jyesht
"Bhrata Bheem, put it on," I said tossing him the other mask to bhrata Bheem
"Nakul, Sahadev! You two are late, maha guru Dron is calling you." said Jyesht, Nakul and Sahadev sprung up
"HA!" bhrata Bheem and I shouted in unison
"AHH!" Nakul and Sahadev shouted in unison, Jyesht, bhrata Yudhisthir, bhrata Bheem and I burst out laughing, bhrata Bheem and I removed the masks and continuing to laugh
"You?!" said Nakul and Sahadev shocked in unison
"Why? Did you think that only you two knew how to prank people?" I said still laughing
"Pranipat, rajkumar." said a female's voice we turned around and saw a dasi
"Yes?" asked bhrata Yudhisthir
"Rajmata Kunti wants you all to come to the royal temple." she said
"Okay, tell her we'll be there in a few minutes," I said
"Yes, rajkumar." said the dasi and left I looked at Nakul and Sahadev
"Now, go and get ready you two." I said to Nakul and Sahadev
Time skip
We went to the royal temple. Mata took kumkum and put tilak on our foreheads. A dasi held a thali that had a small bowl and pot, Mata took the bowl and gave it to bhrata Yudhisthir and then took the pot and poured curd
"Putro," said Mata, we all looked at her
"while filling a bowl with a curd ensure that it is properly filled, and that nothing spills over." she said curd
"Mata, we shall ensure that our shaurya pleases gurudev. Have faith. Our strength, will not be used to torture the Panchal army nor Maharaj Drupad." said bhrata Yudhisthir, Mata smiled put the pot back on the thali
"Vijay bhavh" said Mata. We went to the palace gates
"Pranipat, Maharaj." said bhrata Yudhisthir
"Kalyan ho." said Maharaj, we walked to Pitamaha, Kakshree and kul guru Kripachary.
"Pranipat, Pitamaha." said bhrata Yudhisthir
"Ayushman bhavah." said Pitamaha
"Pranipat, Kakshree." said bhrata Yudhisthir
"Shubham bhvatu." said Kakshree
"Pranipat, kul guru." said bhrata Yudhisthir
"Vijay bhavh." said kul guru Kripachary, we went to Jyesht
"Pranipat, Jyesht." said bhrata Yudhisthir
"Vijay bhavh." said Jyesht, bhrata Yudhisthir, bhrata Bheem, Nakul and Sahadev went to gurudev
"Pranipat, Jyesht." I said, Jyesht put his hand on my cheek
"Chirunjivi bhavh, anuj! Vijay bhavh!" said Jyesht, I teared up and hugged him he hugged me back we pulled away
"Take care of yourself and your bhaiyo. I have a feeling Kul and Dev will get themselves into trouble If any of you get hurt, I'll hold you personally responsible." said Jyesht
"What?! Why me?!" I asked
"Because I am puting you in charge of the safety of you five." he said
"But, Jye-"
"Relax, I was just kidding, anuj." said Jyesht, I smiled and went to gurudev. Gurudev looked at each one of us
"Rajkumaro, this is the first war of your lives." he said bhrata Yudhisthir Nakul and Sahadev smiled the rest of us didn't
"All the art and knowledge taught by me and even your might will seem scant in this war." said gurudev
"Because your opponent, is my mitr Drupad." he said
"From my revered father the maha muni Bharadwaj, Drupad learnt the same art which all of you have learnt from me." he said we all nodded
"Me and my putra, Ashwathama," he said gesturing to Ashwathama
"Will not take part in the war." said gurudev
"Because Drupad had told me that if I am proud of my art then I needed to create a warrior who could defeat him. And I have accepted his challenge." he said we all nodded
"All of you must uphold the honour of your guru." he said I smiled and we all nodded
"If anyone is fearful of this war then, I release that person from the duty of giving the gurudakshina." he said and looked at the Kaurav
"Is there anyone who doubts my teachings and has no faith in his own competence? Is there anyone?!" asked gurudev
"We have faith, gurudev!" I said
"We have faith, gurudev!" said bhrata Yudhisthir, bhrata Bheem, Nakul, Sahadev and I in unison the Kauravas didn't say anything
"Splendid." said gurudev
"All of you may proceed for the war." he said looking at bhrata Yudhisthir, bhrata Bheem, Nakul, Sahadev and me. We smiled
"And the sons of Dhritarashtr you may return"
"Pitashree, what are you saying? What kind of partiality is this?" asked Ashwathama
"It is no partiality." said gurudev turning around
"It is no partiality at all!" he said angrily
"The one who doubts my teachings and has no faith in his own capability cannot be accepted by me as my shishy." he said
"I cannot ask for the gurudakshina from such a person, Ashwathama." he said
"If I had to defeat Drupad by any means possible then I would have approached the Maharaj of Hastinapur as a trader intent on making a business deal." he said gesturing to Maharaj
"I would not have meditated and waited all these years." said gurudev
"But we have complete faith, gurudev." said Duryodhan
"Very well," said gurudev
