The four ended up spending the next few hours catching up, walking around Brighton and discussing the wonders that are living with demons. It seems Bad had actually moved out of Skeppy's house and bought one of his own when he'd started to settle down a new life for himself, but the two humans could still exchange summoning stories and silly things about the individual times the demons had discovered something new and freaked out. George had a field day describing the blondes first escalator trip whereas Dream was less than impressed.
Lucky for him however Skeppy had just as many embarrassing ones about Bad, and the demons had plenty enough stories about their summoners too, so the rest of the day was full of laughter and shouting.
The next time they would meet would be with Wilbur and Fundy (they weren't sure if Niki was coming yet), and then Tommy -who had completely missed the announcement in the first place- was still trying to convince his parents to let him come down to Brighton.
And on that note they sadly departed from each other, waving their goodbyes, knowing they would be seeing each other again the next few day's, hoping however it would be a tad less chaotic.
"Well, that was unexpected." George joked as they closed the apartment door behind them, Dream stripping off his hoodie and stretching his arms above his head. It had been so long since he'd had his wings out the feel had almost felt foreign and now his back was aching.
He really needed to get out and stretch them more often because Jesus Christ he was getting rusty.
"You could say that again." The demon replied with a sigh, sitting down on the sofa, observing the other as he pulled his shoes off and placed them neatly beside Dreams which had been haphazardly thrown down, a smile coming to his face at the unamused glare George gave the trainers as he picked them up and moved them so they were less of a trip hazard.
"Mmh." The brunette hummed in response as he walked over to get himself a glass of water. "Bet you're glad I came and saved your sorry ass."
Dream sat up at the comment, raising an eyebrow as he turned to face George. "Excuse me?"
"Dream you were practicing getting your arse handed to you when I arrived."
"Maybe it was intentional." Dream sulked. So this was what he got for protecting the human. "A thank you would have been nice."
"I could say the same back."
Dream just rolled his eyes, turning his back on the human.
"Hey Dream?" George called after a few minutes of silence.
"Yeah?"
"Why don't you go into your demon form that often?" The human asked, Dream turning back to face him, a tad confused. "Well, Skeppy said that Bad used to go in and out of his all the time when they still lived together, something about him being uncomfortable without stretching his wings for so long." He explained.
"I, well... I'm self conscious?" Dream mumbled, not even knowing why he bothered trying to lie.
"Skeppy seemed to think it was because you thought I'd be scared of you." He continued, the demon stiffening. "You do know I'm not going to be scared of you, right?"
"Well you know it's just.... you know...."
"No, I don't know. I'm not psychic."
"Well, it's not like you ever really asked?" Dream settled on saying, his eyes following the other as he walked over, joining him on the sofa.
"So... so if I asked, you would show me?"
"I wouldn't have a choice."
"But if you did?"
