"They really want me to study string theory, but I'm not all that interested in arts and crafts." Brittany tells me and Tina about how MIT found out about her SAT score and wants her to do early commitment.
I applied for Columbia and I have yet to hear back from them. I hope I get in. They have one of the best cooking programs in the country, and it would mean the world to me if I got in.
"Isn't M.I.T in Europe?" Tina asked and I furrow my eyebrows. "That would suck."
"I thought it was in Australia." I scratch my head confused.
"Hey Tina. Are you trying out a new look?" Marley asked coming up to us.
"It's called steampunk. It's the next big thing." Tina tells her.
"Oh. God, I love it." Marley complimented with a smile.
"Oh hey there. You must, uh, be Marley." Sam says in an Australian accent.
Every year, Sam does this prank where is pretends he has a twin brother from Australia named Evan Evans. Even I did the same prank. My fake twin was called Hud Hudson. I stopped doing it after the first couple times. But Sam does it every year.
"Hi Sam." Marley turns around to face him.
"That's no Sam. That's Sam's smarter twin brother, Evan." Brittany tells her and I shake my head.
"Evan Evans. What a pleasure to meet you."Sam introduces himself as Evan and shakes Marley's hand. "Oh. Phone's ringing. Oh, it's my brother." He takes out his phone that wasn't even ringing. "Oh, hey Sam, I was actually just looking for you..." Sam leaves and pretends to go find himself.
Marley turns back around to us.
"He does that every year." I tell her and she nods.
"So have you guys heard who's taking over the Cheerios?" Brittany asked.
I furrow my eyebrows "Sue's not Coach anymore?" I make a confused face.
"Nope." Brittany responded shaking her head.
"Yeah, it's insane. And it made me realize I have no idea whether I'm on the Cheerios or not. Like I literally can't remember." Tina states.
"Well it wasn't that long ago. Actually it wasn't even a full month ago." I remind her shrugging.
She scoffs and shakes her head.
Sam comes running back to us, this time, as himself.
"Hey guys. Have you seen Evan?" He asked.
"You just missed him. He went that way." Brittany points in the direction SAM just went. Now he's got her believing this. He groans, snaps his finger and runs off. ————————————————————— "Guys, have you... seen my twin?" Sam asked coming in the room.
Marley shakes her head fast.
"Oh! Getting a call. Hold on." Sam takes out his phone that, once again, wasn't ringing. "Oh, hey. Man, I was just looking for you!" He runs out the room again.
"Guys, look what I got." I roll up my sleeve and show them my new tattoo.
It was a tattoo of a rolling pin, spatula, carving fork and a whisk next to each other.
