Myla's pov

I don't like this.

1) Juliet Simms didn't let me answer her question about asking me a question.

2) I already know why she's here. It's not like you walk into an orphanage and do this just to make a friend.

"Okay." I don't really know how to reply to her statement.

Juliet Simms smiled. "Yeah, I have the papers all filled out! And now all I need is an okay from you. So what do you say?" When Juliet Simms finished her mouth did this odd twisty thing. I don't like it.

I put on a forced smile that looks real, we'll from what I know the fake smile convinces Maddy that I'm happy so..., "sure!" I just found my way out of this place.

I don't know whether or not to be happy or disappointed in my self. Yes I am glad someone wanted me. Someone wanted to raise me. But I'm ashamed that I said yes. Not because I don't like Juliet Simms, but I don't know a lot about her except that she has a loud boyfriend. She doesn't know that much about me, and that I don't think I can be able to look up to her as my mom.

When Asha got adopted, Mae said that even though Asha might not look up to her adopters as parents now, she will eventually. Hopefully that is my case. Maybe they should have just adopted Maddy. She's a lot more entertaining and more enjoyable than me. Maybe this Juliet Simms doesn't actually mean that she wants to adopt.

Hopefully.

Juliet Simms's smile grew, if that was even possible. "Wait, sure as in Yes?"

I nodded.

Juliet Simms stood up, and looked at one of the staff members, who was also smiling. Probably because they finally won't have to put up with me anymore.

The staff member came up to the table and looked at Juliet Simms. "Well, we will just have Myla go and pack her things and then we will have her sign a couple of papers and then she's yours!"

I recognize the staff member. Her name is Ellie. She mostly helps the younger kids, but I have seen her around the halls a few times. I don't like her. I know she doesn't like me, though I don't know what I have ever done to her. It doesn't matter anymore. I will be living with Juliet Simms and this loud boyfriend of hers, and I won't have to see Ellie's fat face anymore.

Juliet Simms nodded and Ellie lead me out the door before telling Juliet Simms to go and wait for me at the lobby.

--
"Pack your stuff. Be quick. She's waiting." Ellie said opening up my door to my shared room.

I nodded and walked in. I don't have that much things. I have a Gun 'N' Roses shirt that I came to the orphanage in. The shirt was my dads, before he left us. Unlike my dad when I leave I will actually take my things. I walked to my almost empty closest and began pulling the clothes off the hangers and put them in a plastic grocery bag. I don't have that much clothes. I mostly wear Maddy's clothes because in them I won't get strange looks from the other kids when I go places in the orphanage.

I grabbed the bag and walked out my door and faced Ellie. I felt like saying something sassy to her like I hope you miss me because I won't miss you. Or I'm glad that I don't have to be near you anymore. But I am going to not, only because I want to leave this place being happy. Not with a slap on my face as a good bye kiss from her.

I walk into the lobby, Ellie following behind me. Juliet Simms smiled when she saw us come down. Does she always smile? Is she just like Maddy?

"Okay! Now that you're all ready to go, we will just you have you sign these papers and you're off!" The worker behind the counter said, handing me a small packet of paper that is held together by three staples at the upper right hand corner.

We'll I need something to write with. If they have been giving children this packet to fill out with out a writing utensil, since they opened, I can add another thing on to the list of why this orphanage is stupid.
