The Beginning Of A New Era

Chapter Twelve-

It was perfect. That's the only way to describe the day I had. That whole day, I had spent hanging out with Vic and my friends, getting to know his friends, and him getting to know my friends. Though, he mostly stuck to talking with Jaime, who had been going on about their band things. Watching Vic get so into his band, made me realize just how much I really wanted to start my own, which is why the next day while I was driving to school with Justin and Jesse, I brought it up.

"Do you remember that band we were gonna start a while back?" I asked them, looking from Justin to Jesse. It took them both a couple of minutes until they remembered, Justin snapping his fingers.

"Yeah! Of course! Why though?" He asked, leaning forward in the back seat to where he was right next to me. I grinned, looking back at him, then looking at Jesse, whose eyes wondered back and forth between me and the road.

"Well, I was wondering if you two were still up for it?" I asked, still grinning. I looked at Justin, whose eyes literally lit up at the suggestion. Then at Jesse, who had a grin on his face.

"Yeah! I say let's do it!" Justin said, almost jumping up and down in his seat. I chuckled at him, before turning back and looking at Jesse, who nodded his head in agreement. "I'll text Gabe and Jack right now to ask them!" Justin said, leaning back in his seat, while pulling out his phone, to text the two.

I chuckled at his excitement, a smile on my face as I looked ahead of myself. This was the beginning to a new era, that was for certain.

_At School_

When we got there, I waved goodbye to Justin and Jesse, laughing at how excited Justin still seemed as I walked away from my two weirdo friends. I was planning on walking straight from my locker to class and then seeing Vic, but I was taken by surprise when I heard Vic's voice behind me at my locker. "Hey Quinn." I jumped, quickly turning around, and coming face to face with the man I had been slowly falling for.

I put my hand to my heart, feeling my rapid heart beat. "Jesus Christ Vic.." I said, standing there with him chuckling in front of me, as I tried to get my breathing back to normal. When I did, I rolled my eyes at him, as he was still chuckling. "Your so funny." I said sarcastically, turning back to my locker, and getting my books out.

"You love me for it, admit it." He said, extremely close to my ear. I rolled my eyes, trying to make sure he didn't notice my red stained cheeks, or anyone else for that matter.

"Whatever, Fuentes." I said, shaking my head at him as I closed my locker, turning back around to look at Vic. He grinned at me, a real smile on his face. I chuckled, smiling at him and walking off to class, him following by my side. "So, you'll really make sure people won't mess with my friends?" I asked him, remembering his and Jack's conversation from the other day.

Vic grinned, not missing a beat before he answered. "Mhm, as of today, no one should mess with any, and I mean any, of your friends. I'm sure of it. I made sure one of Oli's friends updated Oli on this while he's 'away'." He said, grinning as he looked over at me. I smiled, nodding.

"Thanks, you have no idea how much this means to me." I said, the smile never leaving my face as we walked to class. Honestly, it was incredible knowing I had a boyfriend who would stand up for me and my friends, instead of just focusing on himself. I guess I didn't give Vic enough credit. But, I was determined to give him the benefit of the doubt from now.

Seconds later, we arrived at our first class. Vic, being himself, opened the door, and waited for me to go inside. I rolled my eyes at him, hoping no one would notice, before quickly walking into science, Vic following close after me. The teacher spared us a glance, but seeing as we weren't late or anything, she quickly turned her attention back to the computer in front of her. I walked to the back of the room, where I was expecting it to be empty, but I was surprised when I saw Alex Gaskarth sitting in the spot next to my normal seat. I gave him a weird look, but all he did was grin, and shrug his shoulders.
