Cross sat in his throne next to his husband, the emperor of the Moon Empire, Emperor Nightmare. Their marriage was arranged and the two only saw each other at night.
Despite that Nightmare still managed to shower his "Empress" with
affection and love. Even so, Cross still felt out of place in the Moon Empire. He longed for his simple live in the forest where he would train with his brother.
Just thinking off his brother, Cross could feel himself becoming sadder and sadder. Ever since his marriage Cross hadn't gotten to see his brother, the only part of his family he liked since he absolutely despised his father.
And times had recently been very hard on Nightmare. His brother, Prince Dream, had been missing for 4 years and in that time the war had gotten worse and a rebellion was growing.
The four lieutenants of the kingdom, Dust, Killer, Horror, and Error, worked hard but Cross knew they couldn't keep the Ivory Empire's army at bay forever.
Cross gave a small sigh. He wished things were simpler, like before.
