3. The attack

*valkyrie*

What is going on? I tiptoe towards the door and open it. I'm hit by the screaming and an awful stench of blood, there are men shooting, maids screaming, some are fighting some are running... Oh my gosh is that Rowan???
It is...he is fighting off three other guys while shooting at another five oh gosh.
I go back in my room and lock the door.
Note to self...learn self defence and how to shoot.
The glass of my window shatters and i scream,
'Hey sweetheart' he says 'sorry i didn't say hi at your wedding'
Oh my gosh it's the scar man the guy who disappeared at my wedding
'VALKYRIE OPEN THE DOOR!' Rowan shouts
'Ahhh Valkyrie. What a lovely name' he says leaning forward slightly
'What's your name?' I ask. Maybe i can distract him...
'My name is Mark' mark said simply. Personally i would have thought a mafia guy would have a cooler name than mark i move my hand slowly towards the lock
Mark whips out a gun and places the barrel to my head oh my gosh oh my gosh... My heart stopped.
*click*
I did it?
The door slams open revealing Rowan who doesn't even hesitate to shoot. Mark shouts in pain as the bullet rips through his shoulder.
Oh gosh i feel light headed, am i hyperventilating? I can't breath.
Everything goes black.

*Rowan POV*
Everything was in chaos, people where fighting and screaming and...and dying. I noticed that one maid who slipped through a secret door maybe she told them how to get in? On the corner of my eye i see Valkyrie, she stars at the mess and quickly runs back into her room. God i should probably help her. I kick of the other guys and run towards her room. Theres a sudden shattering noise and a scream. Oh my God.
'VALKYRIE OPEN THE DOOR' I shout i start slamming into the door and suddenly it gave way.
Mark.
I shoot and i hit his shoulder but i don't get to kill him. I turn to Valkyrie who is staring wide eyed at the window. Her breathing is uneven and she seems very pale.
'Am i hyperventilating?' She mutters breathlessly she falls suddenly and i catch her. Three of my men rush through the door
'Sir everyone has left and we will begin clean up.' One of them states
'Alright. Go get a doctor as well' i say
'Yes sir'
I lay her down in her bed and sigh. She's right i'm shallow, i really don't want to hurt her.

*valkyrie*
I groan as i wake up did all that really happen? What about scar face? I mean Mark. I jump as i realise Rowan is here
'HOLY- why are you so quiet??' Oh my gosh i need to get him a bell to ring or something
'Sorry, are you feeling alright? Do you need some water?' He rushes
'Yup I'm fine...actually.....could we eat something?' I ask
He smiles gently. GOD HIS SMILE OMG wait. NOOOO I'M TURNING INTO THOSE WEIRD GIRLS AT SCHOOL. OMG SCHOOL!
'Wait we missed school didn't we? Oh no! I'm failing! I can't afford missing anything!' I panic
'no don't worry we're on break' he says
'But we literally just got back from a break' i state
'they think we are on our honeymoon'

No. HOLY WATER COME FORTH!!!
We walk downstairs and everything is clear? Was there not just a massive attack? Damn they are really good.
I start looking through the fridge for something too eat
'My girlfriend will be coming over soon by the way!' Rowan says casually
What.
I pull out a salmon and whip round with it and it smacks him square in the face.

Good.

'What was that for?' He says as if it's not obvious
'Oh i just felt like it' he gives me a quizzical look and i roll my eyes
'WE'RE MARRIED AND YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR GIRL FRIEND OVER BISH WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT WAS FOR?'  I shout and he just stars at me.
Damn ok prettyboy we'll play like this then.
There was a knock at the door and then heels clacking down the hallway
'Rowannnn!' Elizabeth squeals and plants kisses all over his face.
Im going to throw up.
'Oh hi hun I'm Elizabeth but i think you know that already!' She says.
'why don't you go upstairs or go shopping for something?' Rowan asks me
Ummm NO I LIVE HERE TOO YOU DOUFUS
'No don't be like that' Elizabeth scowls, why is she being so nice???
Suddenly a maid comes towards us and bows, but she continues walking past. That's odd, then i realise that she was that sus maid with the black digital watch
'Excuse me what's your name?' I ask she turns around stunned
'My name is Charity' she whispers
'Nice to meet you!' I'm definatley keeping an eye on her.

The next few hours where excruciating. Rowan and Elizabeth huddled up watching romance movies ugh.
'Lizzie is something wrong?' Rowan asks
'N-no why would you think that?' She stutters
Ooooh there's some drama Rosi will looove. I lean in.
'you've been acting...different lately, you barley come over and you say your always sick. Do you need to go to hospital?' He asks
But she just laughs lightly 'Course no baby don't worry about me' she sooths
Hmmmmm. I smell lies.

After she leaves i immediately call Rosi and tell her the drama.
I wonder if Elizabeth actually knows if Rowan is mafia.

*??? POV*
'As you suspected sir he has a wife but for business terms only and he has a girlfriend who he so dearly loves'

'That's good. When can we get them both?'

'I suggets waiting until his feelings begin developi g for her. That way it will be worse.'

'Very well. Keep observing'

'Yes sir'
