An Introduction to Wanyama

If you're reading this, you've gotta save us, please- we're in grave danger. If you don't like cobras, martial eagles, stingrays, or Baffin Island wolves, please hear what I have to say. I'm referring to me as me. I am Fay Londyn Dhoruba ya Umene(Fay Londyn Lightningstorm). I LOVE my name, but I hate the meaning. It(Fay) means fairy. I wish it meant ball python. I tried asking my ball python this once. "Hei, Mars, unajua majina yoyote ya wasichana ambayo yanamaanisha chatu wa mpira?" He just shrugged in a sort of way and slithered onto my hand.

Anyways, he doesn't bite. Did I mention this? My world's name is Ardhi wa Maisha. That means Land of Life. I live in the capital, Wanyama. Translation: Animalia. There's ONE school, and that's Chuo cha Anicat. Translation: Anicat Academy. It's where you get your special pet. And, um... they can talk. Seriously! You start school at 13; a week before Kwanzog(it's a special festival, the same day as Christmas, I think) is the day we Animalians get our special pets. That day is called Siku ya Sherehe. It means Ceremony day. Anyways, don't think I'm an animal since this is Wanyama, okay? Anyways, you get 12 years of your life to make plenty of friends. Not when you're an outsider, though. Here, let me explain.

When someone in your family(that you live with) disobeys the rules, you're an outsider. The way you become an outsider is by disobeying the rules, probably like every other world. "Mlinzi aliyezikwa taji"(AKA the crowned guardian), as we have to call our "lord," is a very, very tyrant ruler.

He has SUPER strict rules. Like, even if someone disobeys his "rules", as he calls it, they would get- I can't say it! Oh, fine. Executed. He or she would get executed. Then, he expects that whole entire family to go 'cause he thinks they would harm his "precious" land. Well, unless they do good deeds. But they can get welcomed back.

By the way, his rules mean nothing to my family. Since I'm an outsider. Strange, right?

Yeah, that's what I thought at first. But now, I think that it's not a coincidence. It undoubtedly ain't.

Anyways, I got into the- right. First, that place is called um... well, me and my friends like to call it Mahali Popote. Translation: Nowhere. That isn't the whole place. It's only on the outskirts. The whole place is called Nyumba ya Vita. Translation: Home of War. Mahali Popote's on the outskirts of Nyumba ya Vita. Since there's always a war going on in Mahali Popote, the only safe place was katikati ya Hakuna. Translation: the middle of Nowhere.

Now, where was I? Oh, right. I got into Mahali Popote because my little brother, Zach, wanted to explore the castle. I dunno how he got there, but he accidentally saw his wife(she was naked at the moment), an innocent and lovely woman who despised her husband and wished prosperity over Wanyama.

"Mlinzi aliyevikwa taji, however, loved his wife and was furious. He ordered his men to find and kill Zack, and send me and my grandparents to Nowhere. He did. I grieved over his loss for weeks after that. Now, my parents had died when one of the towns had attacked. So, my grandparents had to fend for all of us, but because there was a war currently going on in Nowhere, and they died in it. You know, I wonder if all my relatives have died in some war.

Okay, so my friends that I live with are, Yvonne Walker Baltimore; her special animal is a female martial eagle; Eliya Jonathan Thompson(AKA Elijah Jonathan Thompson); his special animal is a male eagle ray; Jasper Washington; his special animal is a female baffin Island wolf. Why I ask for the hundredth time, am I not surprised?

Since this ISN'T a picture-book, I wanna give a clear description. Let's start with... how about... Yvonne?

Yvonne has black hair, and it curls up at the end. It goes up to her chest. Erm, she usually wears overalls, a cute dress, or a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. She always wears something with animals, no doubt about that. I forgot to mention... oh, right! Yvonne has... um... dark-green eyes, and she died- I mean dyed a red streak on the end of her left eyebrow(that's our symbol to represent ourselves). She has a tattoo(July, one of our teachers, made us do that) on her left cheek- it was a martial eagle. She has the original tattoo that every outsider had on their left arm. She had two scorch marks right below her right eye. Her skin color is tortilla-brown.

Jasper next, 'kay?

Jasper has brownish-reddish hair, and he dyed the tips of it blue. He usually wears long-sleeved t-shirts and ripped jeans. Occasionally, he wears a t-shirt and shorts. He has light-green eyes, and likes wearing hats. Every Friday is his "funny hat day". He has our symbol, 'cept that the girls do it on our left eyebrow, while the boys do it on their right. He has a baffin island wolf tattoo on his left cheek, and the tattoo that every outsider had on their left arm. He had a scar on his right cheek. His skin color is slightly darker than a Chinese or Japanese person.

Now, starring... ME!

My hair is awesome! In spring, it's dark and light green; in summer, it's yellow and light blue, in autumn, it's fiery-red and orange(I think a little bit brown's in there too); in winter, it's icy-blue and white. That's because my great-great-great-great-great(I dunno how many "great" 's are in there) grandpas and grammas are the Seasons. I like wearing overalls, small dresses, a t-shirt and shorts, and a t-shirt and ripped jeans. I also like wearing caps. My eye color is blue; I have "the symbol" too, and a tattoo of a ball python on my right cheek. I had the tattoo, and I STILL have a black eye. My skin color is REALLY pale. Probably even paler than a Japanese person.

Finally, Eli- I mean Elijah!

He has blond hair that goes up to his neck. He loves wearing his magician hat, shorts, and a normal t-shirt. His eye color is brown, too. He has an eagle ray tattoo on his right cheek; he has "the symbol" and he limps like ALWAYS. His skin color is about the average for an Earthian that lives in... Aleriko, or Ameria, if that's what the place is called.
