Chapter 10: Mistral

Third Person POV 

Olivia was sitting on her throne as she looked at her hand. 

Olivia: Slayer. 
She said to herself as a memory flashed through her mind. 

Flashback 

Olivia fell to her knees as she looked at the city in fear. Seeing the demons flooding in through the portal as screams of fear echoed throughout the dark city. 

THUD 

Olivia slowly turned around and her eyes widen, seeing a mechanical demon as it looked at her.

Olivia: N-No. N-No. 
She said as she quickly got up and ran down the hall.

Olivia: Someone help me! 
She yelled as demon rushed after her before stabbing the ground. 

BOOM 

Olivia: Ah! 
She yelled as she crashed into a wall. 

The demon quickly rushed towards her as reeled its claws into her. 

SHANK 

Olivia looked up as she saw a blade through the demon's head before looking to see the slayer. The slayer ripped the demon off of his blade before turning to look at her. 

Olivia: P-Please don't hurt me. 
She begged as tears ran down her cheeks. 

The slayer remained silent as he slowly lowered his hand to her. 

Olivia slowly took his hand into hers before getting up. 

Flashback Ends 

Olivia slowly looked up to see a group of demons standing in front of her. 

Olivia: Go. Go to Vale and kill. Kill for me, my minions. 
She said as she clenched her fists before seeing the demons turn around and run out of the room. 

Olivia: Marauder...
She said as the marauder came into the room. 

Marauder: Yes my queen. 
He said as he bowed to her. 

Olivia: I have a task for you.

To Y/N 

BANG 

Gunshots echoed throughout the area as more demons flooded the area. The demons hissing and growling as they chased at him. 

BANG 

As the gun shot boomed, another demon was added to the pile as he looked around. Seeing nothing but the bodies of the residents laying on the ground as blood ran down the drains. 

THUD 

The slayer turned to the side as he saw an arachnotron. The arachnotron shot at him as the slayer dodged out o the way before charging at it. The arachonotron shot at him with its turret before feeling a hook around it's leg. The arachontron was suddenly pulled towards it as it growls before feeling the slayer's hands around it's turret. Before the demon could do anything, the turret was shoved through the mouth before falling onto the ground. 

BANG 

The slayer dodged to the side as he turned around to see another mechanical demon walking towards him with a gun pointing at him. 

The demon shot another shot as the slayer grabbed his gun. 

BANG 

The slayer dodged another shot before shooting at the demon. The demon shook it off as roars at him. Before it could deliver another shot, Y/N shoved his blade through the demon's head. 

The slayer pulled his blade out of the demon's head as he looked around, looking for anymore demons as he heard a thud. The slayer looked around him as he heard another thud. 

Y/N: Gah! 
He grunts before hitting a wall to see a demon's eyes looking into his. 

The demon growled as it slowly opened it's mouth. 

BANG 

The demon fell to the ground as the slayer walked away with his shotgun in hand. 

Vega: Slayer. In there. 
He said as the slayer looked inside a room to see a control panel. 

Vega: Now. Inject me into the computer and I shall get it to work. 
He said as the slayer pulled out a chip before inserting it into the computer. 

The room suddenly lights up as the building powered up. 

Vega: Power restored. Checking dianogstics. Message from Vale. 
He said before playing it. 

???: Someone...pl*static* Vale i*static* ble .Pl*static* spond. 

Vega: Transmission traced. Coming from the city of Vale.
