Juliana is a kind hearted woman full of spirit. She is truthful with others, but tries to hold her tongue when it is the wrong time to speak too truthfully. Key word: tries. However, when she is pushed, she generally can't hold back and says things she ends up regretting (mostly). She is a dreamer, wanting nothing more than to marry for love and live happily ever after. She knows, though, that such a thing is highly unlikely.

Backstory:

Juliana was born to the Baron James and Baroness Alice Pembroke in the late 1700s. The couple were overjoyed to have a child, after many years of trying with no prevail. Juliana was brought up to be a respectful young lady, although she had trouble holding her tongue at times. When she was 21, she was presented to society. Deemed exquisite, the young woman had many suitors visiting her within days. It seemed like she would be married to a wealthy man of higher status than her own and everything would run perfectly. But at an event, Lord William Dashwood, a suitor 10 years her senior, forcefully kissed her in an empty room. Witnessing the incident, Juliana's father forced the pair to marry, but the scandal was kept between the families. They were married for almost four years when Lord Dashwood was killed for his debt. A year after Lord Dashwood's death, Juliana moved to London to live with her grandmother Lady Pembroke, to find a new husband and remarry.

Juliana is terrified of remarrying as her last husband was horrible. She is also worried about being unable to find a new husband, as widows are generally seen as undesirable.
