Jabrea
I pulled up in front of Mikey house and turned off my car before getting out walking to the door
I knocked and shortly after Mikey answered letting me inside
"Hi" I said and hugged him
"Wassup" he smiled
"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked him
He didn't say anything just grabbed my hand and we walked back to his room.
"Sit down" he finally said and closed the door
I sat on the bed waiting to see what he was finna say
"What's wrong?" I asked
"I got offered a full ride scholarship to UCLA"
"Ahhhh congratulations" I smiled
"Thank you but the thing is I have to give them a answer by Friday"
"Well what does that mean?"
"It means i want to accept the scholarship but I don't know what's gonna happen to us"
"We'll just do distance it's gonna be fine" i shrugged
"I don't think long distance is gonna work for us" Mikey said looking at me
"Oh" I was realizing he wants to break up
"We can still be friends though" he said
"um yea, I should go" I nodded my head and stood up heading for the door
I opened it and walked out heading to the living room then out the front door
"Jabrea" I heard Mikey call out my name
I ignored him and got in my car driving off. My mind was racing and the only thing I could think about was going home
I didn't even realize I was crying until i felt my face was wet. I pulled over into a Wendy's parking lot and stopped the car.
My phone started ringing and I answered seeing it was Laila
"Hey boo where you at" she asked
"Uh at Wendy's" I said wiping my tears
"What's wrong"
"Me and Mikey broke up"
"Awww babe no, why?" She said
"He's moving to a new school"
"Oh gosh Bre I'm so sorry, when I get home when can make Sunday's and watch movies"
"Okay" I laughed a little
"Ima call you when I get off work"
"Alright love you be safe" I told her
"Fashoo and same for you" she said before hanging up
When I got home, I went straight to my room and got in bed starting to think about what just happened.
There was a loud knock at the door and I sighed before getting up going to the door
I looked out seeing it was Khalil and I opened the door letting him in
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked
"Yea I'm fine" I whispered
He looked at me before squinting his eyes
"Jabrea why are you crying"
"It's nothing I just don't feel good"
"Mhm you lying" he said
"Why are you here?"
"Laila told me to come check on you"
I'm gonna beat that girl ass
"Well I'm fine" i shrugged
He grabbed my hand and walked me over to the couch then sat me down on his lap
"What's wrong Bre?"
"Me and Mikey broke up" I said
"Why? He do something to you?"
"No it wasn't anything like that, he's transferring schools and it's all the way across state"
"Damn Bre I'm sorry"
"It's fine it's just a lot being thrown my way right now"
"I'm sorry" he said again
I ran my hands down my face before getting up and going to my room
I laid in my bed and shortly after I heard Khalil walk into my room and close the door behind him
"You don't have to stay" I said
"I'm not leaving you until I know you're okay"
I felt the tears start to fall and Khalil got in bed beside me holding out his arms
I laid on his chest and cried until my head started to hurt
"it's gonna be okay, stop crying" he said rubbing my back
That only made me cry harder and I heard him sigh before sitting up
"Hey look at me"
I looked at him and he wiped my tears before kissing my forehead
"Don't stress yourself about this and you're gonna snap back from this"
I nodded my head and calmed my breathing
"Now stop crying you got my shirt all wet and shit" he said
I looked at his shirt seeing it was soaked from me crying
"I'm sorry" I laughed
"Mhm yea come on and try to get some rest" he said before laying back down
I laid on top of him and looked at the wall until my eyes started feeling heavy and I let sleep take over.
