planning.

after "tip jar" i started to plan out every single book. before i would write a chapter, i would do the following:

(1) what is the story about?
- find a plot
- i come up with mine by concepts, songs, books, movies or shows

➪ inspired by euphoria, to all the boys ive loved before, 17 again
- sometimes the ideas just come to your head without any inspiration

(2) who are the main characters?
- find the two or one person you want the story to revolve around

- create their personalities/background based off of plot

➪ ricky: poor, quiet, intelligent, tough, good family
➪ nini: rich, outgoing, intelligent BUT acts dumb, sensitive, mean, bad family

➪ ricky: perfect, sweet, caring, smart, depressed, bad/abusive dad
➪ nini: awkward, weird, funny, happy, amazing/healthy family

(3) who are the other characters?
- who are the main characters and who are their friends?
- why choose those specific people to be their friends?

➪ friends: seb, kourtney, red
- *similar personalities/background to main characacter*

➪ friends: ej, los, ashlyn, gina

(4) start planning out the whole storyline and how you kinda want the book to go
- you don't have to write out what each chapter is going to be about
- just plan out the general concept/idea of your story

(5) plan out your 3-5 chapters a time as you write
- now that you're starting to write, plan out what you want your chapter and the next 2-4 to be like
- makes it easier to write
- won't get writers block as much
