XX: LAST EVENING IN SHIMLA

Mayra's POV

As soon as we reached the hotel, we all went to our respective rooms. We all did lot of shopping, excluding my little wife. I think that she didn't have money to buy stuff. I was impressed that she didn't ask me money to buy stuff. I would have bought stuffs for her, if she had asked me, after all, I am her wife.

I put the bags on the bed and went to take a shower. I came back and saw Nikita sleeping on the couch. She didn't even change her clothes and slept. I guess that she was tired very much. I emptied my bags and started arranging them in the travel bags. I also emptied my closet and did the same. It took me almost an hour and half to do everything. I sat on the nearby sofa and ordered for a coffee. I finished it and it was almost 6.45 in the evening.

Nikita woke up and looked around her for a minute. She got up and started rubbing her eyes. She went towards her closet and took some clothes and went to the bathroom. I thought to order some coffee or tea for her, but I didn't know what she drinks, so I didn't order. She came back after 20 minutes and looked fresh. It was past 7 and there was some time for dinner. So, I handed her the menu and asked her to what she wants to eat. She took the menu and told me that she wants to have rice, chapati, dal and a vegetable. I had already decided what I want. I took the phone, called the room service and ordered the food. They told me that it will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour to serve us.

I asked Nikita to come and sit on the other sofa which was near to me. I wanted to talk to her and make her relax. She hesitated for a moment but then obliged and sat. I said, "Nikita, we are leaving tomorrow for Jaipur. I want to go back there on a happy note. I know things have not been good between us or there is nothing between us." She was listening to me carefully. "This vacation or our so-called Honeymoon has not gone good till now, but it is still not over. We have this evening and the whole night with us. I want to clear the air between us and start fresh." I spoke.

Nikita's POV

I woke up and went to take a bath. I came back and felt fresh. I saw Mayra going over the food menu. She threw the menu on the bed and asked me to decide what I want to have for dinner. I told her and she ordered. Later she asked me to sit near to her. I sat and she started to talk. I was getting what she was saying.

"What do you mean by fresh? What do you want to do?" I asked her. "Well, we can start by talking, knowing about each other. And if you don't want to talk, we can consummate our marriage." She said and I got scared and didn't say anything. "As you are not saying anything, I think we should consummate our marriage." She said, and before she could say or do anything else, I interrupted her and said, "No! we should talk. We should talk." She got a smile on her face as if she knew this would happen.

"So tell me, Why are you like this?" she said. "What do you mean?" I asked as I was confused. "Why are you so shy, so quiet, not opening up, not smiling and scared and sad most of the time?" I didn't say anything as I could not get what she was trying to do. All this time she has been rude to me and how can she suddenly expect me to open up. And wait, when did she notice this in me. Is she keeping an eye on me secretly? "Nikita, Nikita, she took my name and I looked at her. She was waiting for an answer or some kind of response. So I said, I don't know as I was not ready to open up to her.

Mayra's POV

"I don't know." She said. That answer confused me for a second, but next moment I realized that she is not ready to open up. I knew what to do next, as I have been with many girls who hesitated to open up. So, I said, "It's okay. Let's change the table. Instead of me asking you, you can ask me anything you want to. Come on! Go on! You can ask me anything." She opened her mouth and said, "Any- anything." "Yes! Anything." I said. "You will not get angry?" she asked. "No!" I answered.
