The Alternate- Chapter 5

Adora woke up to the sound of raised voices looking over she saw Catra sprawled on the floor a Comm rested just beside her ear. Adora slowly got out of bed an crept over. Suddenly Catra's eyes flew open. Adora screamed.

"Sorry!"

"It's ok Catra! What happened all I remember is a blinding white light but something important must have happened because look.... there's a Comm beside your ear!"

"Oh that's weird I don't remember anything about that!"

"CATRA!!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME!!!!" Entrapta's voice booms out of the Comm as she shouts at the top of her voice much to the annoyance of everyone else on the other side of the line shown by the disgruntled murmurs that could just be heard past her shouting.

"Yes Entrapta, we can hear you!" Catra groans.

"OH GOOD!" Entrapta bellows.

"Ugh, you can stop shouting now Entrapta!" Mermista's bored voice filters through the Comm.

"Oh sorry!" Entrapta says sheepishly.

"Umm... does anyone know why we actually have a Comm?" Adora puts in.

"Umm.... the machine taking you back to the normal universe malfunctioned sending you to an entirely different dimension. Which in a way is amazing!" Entrapta says in awe.

"Great so we're stuck in a parallel universe with no way of knowing what people think of us!" Catra groans.

"Hey, Adora I was wondering......." Glimmer, in her old clothes from before she became queen, walks in with a fiery look on her face. She sees Catra before Adora and is confused.

"Adora what are you doing with the enemy?" Other Glimmer questions a worried look spread across her face.

"Oh, Catra's on our side now!" Adora said trying to convince this other reality Glimmer not to do anything to Catra.

"Huh? So you let her in here? Adora! You need to tell us when you do something like this!" Other Glimmer whines

"Umm, yeah sorry!"

"How do you know we can trust her?"

"Umm, I'm pretty sure she would have murdered me by now!" Adora jokes, winking at Catra to signal to agree.

"Yeah! I'm totally good now!" Catra says unconvincingly.

"Sure...." Glimmer side-eyes Catra wearily. "Adora we need you to help plan some stuff, get ready and be in there as fast as you can...." She pauses. "And bring Catra, we can't have her escaping!"

"Ok!" Adora confirmes.

"But we've got to make sure Catra is on our side before we let her in on our plans so she will have to a lie detecting test!"

"Ok that's fine!"

"Do I have any say in this?" Catra butts in.

"No!"

"Ugh!"

"Anyway! Hurry up Adora!" Glimmer prompts. "Oh Catra you too I guess!"

Glimmer leaves the room and Adora glances at Catra with a worried look on her face.

"This is bad!"

"You don't say!" Catra remarks.

"We need to get out of here!"

"Definitely!"

"Entrapta? You there?"

"Hello!" Entrapta's voice chimes through the Comm in Catra and Adora's ears.

"You need to get us out of here! Before we have to go to a meeting that we have no idea what's happening or could happen!" Adora says desperately.

"Yes, yes I'm working on it!"

"Uuuuuuugggghhhh! How much longer is this going to take Entrapta! I would like to see my friend today!" Glimmer's annoyed voice trills.

"I didn't know I was your friend, Glimmer?" Catra says cheekily.

"You know very well I meant Adora, Catra."

Glimmer says, bored.

"I know!"

"Are you guys done?" Adora asks.

Catra and Glimmer immediately shut up.

"ADORA!" Other Glimmer's voice erupts from down the hall. "Oh and Catra...."

"We better go..." Adora says. When Catra nods in approval they make their way out of the room.
