As Hajime finished his shower from his daily jog around the island, he walked out of his room and heard the sound of arguing coming from down the hall. As he stepped closer to investigate, he spotted Yoruko and Nikei arguing outside of the bathrooms and sighed. Those two being together was hardly ever a good thing as it often led to arguments and stupid decisions.

"Seriously, Nikei?! Did you have to just leave Hibiki there like that?!" Yoruko scolded, her posture suggesting that she was about to ignore the 'no violence' rule at any second, helping Monocrow clean be damned. She then lowered her voice to a more dangerous tone. "Would it kill you to help people? It's not like the world revolves around you, you know."

The boxer decided that it was best to intervene before either one of them got in trouble. "Hey, I could hear you guys from down the hall." He announced, stepped towards the arguing duo as he made his presence known. "What the hell's going on with you two?"

"...Tch." The journalist scowled as he pushed past Hajime, quickly escaping the conversation. Yoruko and Hajime watched him almost run down the stairs as his glare didn't change.

"Gh...!" The hostess looked like she was close to burning with anger. "That damn guy, he really pisses me off sometimes...!"

"Calm down, Nikei's just not used to handling people. He's more used to either giving orders or working solo because of his job." Hajime explained, putting a hand on her shoulder. "But yeah, he's a bit of a handful at the worst of times, so I get where you're coming from."

After a few deep breaths, Yoruko managed to calm herself down enough to pretend to look calm. "At least Hibiki managed to get down from there with Shinji and Utsuro's help. Still though, I don't know how she got stuck climbing a high shelf in the Tower of Babel in the first place. I mean, who in their right mind would do that?" She complained.

"Eh, I've dealt with worse. It gets harder when your eyes are sensitive to light, believe me." The boxer laughed. "Anyways, you look like you need to cool off. You wanna head over to the gym with me? There's a few punching bags that you might be able to make use of."

"Oh, believe me, I will." The hostess agreed, and Hajime followed her as she walked down the stairs into the gym on the first floor. Even if it was out of anger, he wasn't going to refuse a training buddy!

When they arrived, Yoruko went to the nearest punching bag and hitting it, letting out a bunch of pent-up anger onto it. "Hey, you should probably tuck your thumb below your knuckles, like this." The boxer held up his hand, showing the smaller girl. "You don't want to hurt your thumb by mistake."

"Alright, thanks!" The hostess replied, mimicking the hand position that he demonstrated and continuing to hit the bag, which was starting to sway even with her lack of strength. "I'm surprised that the Monocruise doesn't have a room that you can take your anger out in, like some kind of rage room. Well, I guess that's what the gym is for!"

"If you feel like that a lot of the time, then you should come train with Shinji, Yuki, and myself after the material scavenging in the morning. I mean, if Yuki can survive that, then you probably can too." Hajime joked. "Anyone's welcome to join us, even if Shinji manages to act like a drill sergeant at times. It might actually be good for your job, you could carry heavier things at a time."

"But carrying heavier things won't work if you don't have any balance anyway, and I'm not planning to return as a hostess after I graduate from Hope's Peak Academy." Yoruko explained. "I mean, I can't hold onto that job all my life, so I've been searching up things like random trivia, job opportunities, things that could help me for when I fully become an adult and have to live on my own."

"That's true, I guess I never thought about it." The blonde chuckled awkwardly. "I mean, I never expected that I'd actually live this long. Shows what I know, I guess."

"Well, that does make sense. Adults these days aren't preparing us enough to live by ourselves, with rising inflation rates and climate change not going very well." The girl sighed. "All our lives, we have to raise our hand and ask to go to the washroom, but the second we turn eighteen, they immediately expect us to know how to make money, pay bills, and deal with a corrupt system."

"Yeah, I really hate that." Hajime sighed. "Well, at least we aren't dead. Even if baby boomers control the government and not help the younger generations at all, we can still make an impact with our own hands."

"Amen to that." Yoruko agreed, continuing her assault on the punching bag.
