Headcanons I Made About Kirby

Hey Cheesecicles! So lately I've been obsessed with Kirby from TMNT 2012! He needs more love, his character is so underrated!

Anyway, I made some headcanons about him! Here we go!

'Kirby has PTSD due to his mutations, the loss of his wife, and being mind controlled on multiple occasions'

I think he actually does have PTSD because he shows signs of it in the show...poor Kirby...

'Kirby sometimes gives himself therapy to help himself cope with his PTSD. He often did this during his imprisonment'

Not to mention that all that Isolation and captivity might have messed with him...he might he a tiny bit insane

'Kirby has been teaching Donnie pshycohlogy, much to the genius turtle's excitement. He looks up to Kirby since they're on the same level of intelligence'

I think Donnie enjoys having someone as smart as him around to discuss topics his brothers don't particularly enjoy, nor understand. And, Kirby most likey would be more than happy to teach Donnie what he knows.

'Kirby often suffers from nightmares due to everything that's happened. April is the only one who knows this.'

He clearly does, as shown in the episode where he became mutated. Man, poor Kirby! Nickelodeon took his character and just shoved him down a tunnel of angst...

'Kirby used to work at a phych ward, but left tht job after his wife was taken'

I feel like Kirby has actually done this, and that's how he started off...however, he later resorted to simply giving people therapy instead of working in the mental institution because it was too overwhelming....

'Kirby doesn't know that April isn't human. He also doesn't know that his wife wasn't human. She never told him and now never has the chance'

I don't think Kirby is aware of his wife and daughters powers. I don't know of April told him or not, but I'd imagine he'd probably freak out if he ever found out

'Kirby never fully recovered after being mutated and suffered a lot because of it, but doesn't regret jumping in front of April and getting mutated in her place. He'd do it again in a heartbeat'

Kirby is a very selfless person. He doesn't care what happens to him as long as April is safe. He'd take a bullet for her. That's how overprotective he is of her. She's all he has left...

'Kirby will not hesitate to hurt anyone who hurts April. Don't mess with him. He's a better fighter than he looks, especially when it comes to protecting his sweet baby girl'

Kirby is very overprotective of April. He literally fought off Kraang so that the turtles and April could escape, sacrificing himself in the process.
