Breathe
by: wilmapark_

Isn't it ironic how we are surrounded by air but we're still having hard time breathing?

Like how funny it is that there are good things around us yet living is equals to struggling...

Better days, they say, are waiting ahead of us so we must keep going

But what if we've been trying? Been running? Yet we're still failing...

Have you ever wandered and somehow found yourself stuck in a labyrinth?

Where everything seems dark; no colors and light yet full of purple hyacinth..

In a place of what we call the no return, in which we don't physically get lost..

The place where even finding yourself, your happiness and peace comes with a great cost

It is an unspoken truth that things aren't easy

They're always meant to be complicated and hard

Sometimes things gets too much it even makes us dizzy

Often times it even drains us to the point we end up feeling tired

Though some people will keep on going, moving and fighting,

Clinging on the spark of hope that there are betters days ahead

Yet they will still feel trapped, like they had just faced a dead end

Little by little those spark dies down, every last bit of chance diminishing

Such event will lead not just to wandering but also to wondering

Wondering if there really is something worth it waiting at the end of this

Even a tiny bit that will embrace them at the end would be so much bliss

And that perhaps one day all these striving will end, and only joy is left growing

As to why they wandered in the first place, some would see the reason underneath it

Cause things have been suffocating; suffocating such actually being an understatement

And above all of it, air isn't exactly what they yearn nor do they seek any accomplishment

For sometimes, in even just a short of period of time, all they want and wish is to breathe
