"This is stupid," Jisung grumbled, ruffling his hair due to the stress he'd contain for the past hour. He dropped the pencil out of his grasp then threw his head back. His large palms covering his face in distress, letting out a huge frustrated sigh.

A chuckle radiated from his side. "You really do suck at this, don't you?" Jisung straightened his back at her sudden insult, shooting her a glare. "Well it's not my fault that your brain was built differently, " he retorted.

Saeron rolled her eyes.  "Shut up you're just lazy," she clarified. "Whatever."

Math class provided seat plans, which isn't normal for their teacher to do but Mrs. Park did anyway. Students who sat beside each other from the first class will remain as seatmates till the end of the semester, the reason why Jisung and Saeron were paired with one another.

The lecture went painfully slow. More tasks were given causing the whole class to groan, including the two who just simply rolled their eyes.

The bell rang indicating them to finally continue with their lunch. Mostly ran out of class, some stayed due to lack of energy. Saeron packed her things when her eyes adverted to Jisung where he stood up, slinging his backpack on one of his shoulders as always.

"Who are you having lunch with?" she blurted out of nowhere. Jisung was taken aback by her sudden question, but managed to reply. "Um, probably alone?" he unbotheredly said.

The girl scoffed in disbelief, "Aight, I'm taking you with me." Again, the black-haired perked his brows in shock. "What- no," he rejected.

"Why not?"
"Wouldn't I be a bother?"
"You're being dramatic"
"I'm not"
"Yes you are"
"Shut the fuck up I'm not."

Saeron giggled at his flustered state, finding it cute. "It'll be fine. I'm sure they'd like to meet you anyways," she reassured, yet Jisung still wasn't certain at her unexpected request. He stayed silent for a while before speaking up, "Are you sure?" "One hundred percent, " she confidently declared.

"Okay then, " he nervously accepted, earning a genuine smile from the girl. He didn't know what to say so he just stood there, silently waiting for Saeron to tidy her belongings.

Unconsciously, his eyes remained on her. He realized how calm she was, it's like she wasn't bothered by anything- though she actually had a storm of thoughts that lingered on her mind.

However, as Saeron lifted her arms to tie her hair, her long sleeve showed a bit of her skin. Jisung snapper out of his thoughts, furroweing his brows when he saw some kind of scar that was printed on the smooth surface of her wrist.

"What's that?" he asked making the girl shoot her head up to look at him. "What's what?" Saeron muddled. Jisung tensely pointed on her wrist, where her eyes trailed its direction. Her lips fell to an 'o' when she realized, laughing nervously as she slowly covered it back with her sleeve.

"Oh- uh that's nothing" she lied, an anxious smile clearly seen on her face. Jisung shared an unconvinced look, but he didn't want to dig deeper. Her reactions showed enough to halt his curiosity. But unfortunately, it didn't.

He slowly nodded his head, shutting his lips from saying anything else. Saeron's face lit up as she stood up from her seat. "Let's go!" she beamed, unconsciously grabbing Jisung by the arm then dragged him out of the room and amongst the crowd.

Chaeyong was sat on their usual spot as she waited for her friends, eyes fixated on her phone while her fingers raked across the screen. Taeri strode back to the table with a tray on her hands, scanning her vision across the big area.

"Have you seen Saeron?" she asked, gently placing the food on the table. The brunette flung her attention away from her phone, placing it into her bag but shrugged. "No, classes are done right?"

Taehee nodded, "She loves food too much to be late for lunch-" Her words were cut short when she saw her from afar, hands on his arm as she pulled him towards the crowded area. "For fuck sake what the fuck is going on," Taehee rambled. Chaeyong scoffed, misinterpreting her remarks.

"Girl, tell me about it. Life's complicated and is shit sometimes-" she continued to rant, making the other girl roll her eyes. "No you dumbfuck, look!" Taehee pointed towards the two, who's now lining up for food.

Chaeyong turned her body to look behind her, an 'o' formed on her lips before slowly spinning her gaze back to the tray of food in front of her. "Uhm, right- is that a hand on his arm I see?" she double-took, squinting her eyes in order to see clearer.

"Definitely is, " Taehee calmly clarified, she tried to at least. Sitting back down, the two girls chatted until Saeron and Jisung came towards their table with their own trays.

The pairs of eyes followed their every move as Saeron unbotheredly sat herself down, followed by Jisung who's mind pondered to eat with them or not. "Sit down, Ji" the calm one declared, making the boy shyly settle himself beside her.

Jisung looked up as he felt stares fixated on him, to see the brunette and the light-haired already glaring at him. He cleared his throat, feeling slightly uncomfortable. Saeron took notice it of when she turned her head towards the three, recognizing the tense air that'd formed as soon as they came.

"You guys are scaring me, " she broke the silence in a playful manner, causing them to advert their attention towards her. "Y'all literally look like you're gonna kill each other, " she continued to tease, wiping out the serious atmosphere.

"Why is he here- ouch!" Taehee commented before a slap on her arm interrupted her. "She meant we're delighted to have you here, " Chaeyong revised with a big smile on her face.

Jisung pursed his lips, not having he guts to say anything as he sat there awkwardly. Saeron laughed, finding the situation funny. "OKAY, let's eat yeah?" she interjected. The air had finally loosened up and the four of them started to eat.

It started off quite stiff, but as time went by, they started laughing off certain topics. They'd found out about how low their humor was, making them the perfect group. Little do they know, it's just the start of their friendship
