"Dray"

Dray Ville

7 hours earlier

I was coming out of my office when I heard my mother yelling my name from across the hallway.

"What is it now mother ?" I asked.

"Dray I want you to do something for me," she said, came up to me, and hugged me.

"What?" I asked.

My mother is the founder of Belle Ville, but why do I have to do her fucking work.

"Stop being so disrespectful," she said in a harsh tone.

I sighed.

"So what do you want me to do ?" I asked again.

"A new Intern will be joining us on Monday. I want you to take care of her. Show her the Building and show her what work she needs to get done here. She just moved to New York so please, treat her nice. Not like the other girls, you used to hang out with." she gave me a deadly stare.

This can't be true. Again, it's me who has to show some stupid girl around, who will be fired anyway cause she has no idea about that Business.

But I didn't want to argue with my mother. She was the only one I had left.

She knew I couldn't express my feelings that
well. I have never said "I love you" to anyone.

I mean, this sentence is absolute nonsense.

Love was considered the most beautiful thing in the world until my generation was born.

Love is now just another reason to die.

"Okay" I sighed.

"Really ?" She asked and smiled wide.

"Yes, I will do it."

"Thank you so much, my son. I would do it myself but I'm on a business trip this weekend, hope that's okay for you?"

I nodded. She hugged me again but I didn't hug her back. It didn't matter, she was used to it.

I turned around but could still hear her loud high-heeled shoes on the glassy floor, as she made her way back to her office.

I had to distract myself.
I took my phone out and called my Best Friend Jake.

„Hey Jake"

„What's up?" I heard Jakes deep voice at the other line. He was difficult to understand, as I heard loud music coming from the background.

„I have to distract myself. Any offers?"

„Oh well, I have something perfect"
He said and I could see him grinning through the phone.

„I met two women yesterday. Do you want to have some fun?"

„Yeah sure, anything to distract me from this stupid job," I said.

I was her son, a woman who was the Boss of one of the biggest fashion industries in the world. Of course, I need to get my work done. I mean I have to take it all over when my mom will be gone.

But that didn't stop me from having a little bit of fun.

My father left me and my mother when I was 8. He didn't answer my texts, never called me. It felt like he never really existed. He left us, and I've heard nothing from him since then.
