"everyone, we are moving out, we have to make it to the checkpoint before Team Ro does." I said
"CAP-" Luma started again but I then gave her the death glare, signaling her to shut the fuck up.
"honestly, here we go again!" I silently said while rubbing my face.
"Alright everyone let's go!" I shouted.
Your Pov
'Thank God, we are almost at the checkpoint, Luma wouldn't stop talking!'
Flashback
"Hey, Hey! Listen to this! Did you know that there are approximately 175 leaves on a tree!" Luma
"Y-yeah, haha" I said
"Hey Cap?"
"Yes, Luma?" I said slightly annoyed
"Did you know that birds are fish of the sky?" she said
"Fish of the sky, huh, yeah a friend told me that once." I said, now depressed.
"WOW! REALLY WHO??" Luma shouted in my let ear
"I tell you later." I said now holding my left ear that was now ringing.
"SERIOUSLY! Wow, a feel so special!" She said with stars in her eyes.
"WAIT!" She gasped
"What's wrong did you spot something?"
"No, just another bird." she said laughing
I sighed slapping my face
flashback ends
"Captain, I see the checkpoint!" One of the anbu members said
"Right, everyone get ready, we don't know if Team Ro made it, so be prepared to fight." I shouted
"RIGHT!" They all shouted
I push the chakra to my feet giving me a boost ahead. I swiftly land on the wooden bridge. I pause, pivot, and slightly tilt my head, trying to listen for nearby footsteps.
'nothing, good but, just to make sure...'
"Niko." I say
"I'm on it, Byakugan!" She shouts.
"do you see anything?" I ask
"No, but, Team Ro is 10 clicks away (which is 6 miles or 10 Kilometers).
"Right, Thank you." I said and she nods.
'Right, my best bet is trying to figure out a plan before Kakashi's team gets here. Though it probably won't do much because Kakashi's will just ignore me again!' I angrily thought
I then pull out a map setting it on the ground. I then grab a marker out of my side pocket.
'Right so we are here, so that means we have to travel around 10 ish miles or 16 km. So, it should take us 40ish minutes to travel? But, then again, we have been running for an hour and 30 minutes. From our last battled So, everyone must be tired.' I sigh rubbing my head and then peering over my left shoulder.
'Ugh, by the time I figure something out Kakashi will be here!" I sigh in defeat. I then roll up the map putting it back into my pouch.
I then decide to walk ahead.
"Captain? Where are you going?" My teammate asks
"I'm just going off ahead, while i'm gone Niko Hyuga is incharge." I say
"SERIOUSLY, CAP, WHY HER A-" Luma started and I glare at her and she immediately shuts her mouth.
I then began to walk ahead, listening to the birds chirping and the water of the nearby stream.
As I'm walking a hear someone talk
"Well, I didn't expect you to get this far, though then again that's what I expect of the Grim Reaper." Said a raspy voice
"Do, tell me, is it true then your vermilion eyes, show your opponent's nightmare, and make it come to life?" The raspy voice said becoming louder.
"Who are you" I said not showing the slightest bit of fear.
I then draw my katana and hold it at my right side
"tsk, tsk, I feel a little offended, Y/n-sama." The raspy voice said while laughing
"I don't get what's so funny, why don't you come out and tell me about it?" I said now walking towards the voice.
"Hmm, I would but, it seems that our time has run out, Until we meet again." The raspy voice said cackling, fading off into the darkness of the forest.
"Wait-"
"Yo, So this is where you are?"
"huh?" I said turning around to see Kakashi leaning up against a nearby tree
"Honestly, that's not very "leader-like" to leave your team behind." Kakashi said using air quotes
"Y-you seriously didn't hear that?" I asked nervous
"hear what?" Kakashi said
"t-the voice?" I said slowly putting my katana away, which seemed to intrigue kakashi
He then walks over and stands in front of me and then doesn't say anything, almost seeming to hesitate.
"wha-ack" I said now rubbing my nose
"Would you relax, there's nothing here, at least not anymore." He said putting his hands in his pockets.
"Now let's go the team is waiting." He said now walking away.
"right." I said releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding
'who was that?' I thought while trying to catch up to kakashi
The rest of the trip back to the bridge was silent, it felt weird being with Kakashi alone again. And let me get this straight, I am not and I repeat NOT in love with him!' I said while in my head, looking at the imaginary camera.
I then put my hands in my pockets and slightly look at kakashi who seems to have no face expression. 'geez, I don't remember it being this hard to makeout his face expressions, It's probably because of the anbu mask. Yeah thats it.' I thought
As we we come out of the forest I see the rest of the Team.
"HEY, QUIT IT!"
"NO YOU QUIT IT"
'Here we go again' I thought and both kakashi and I facepalmed.
