For the first time the young engineer was taken out of his state of fear, he was introduced to about a day ago. He could finally think clear again and was not paralized in his actions. What anger can do for you, he thought to himself. The first time, since he had stolen the things from the office of the Admiral of the Northern Palairment, he heard his own thoughts talk to himself again. He got a rough plan together to get himself out and thought about his chance of getting away. He knew they were small and suicidal at best. But it sounded better to suffer the repercussions of trying than to just surrender himself to the whims of the two shipgirls. Finally having his mind made up he went onto the offensive.
"I wonder. Why do you have such an issue with me old dreadnaught?" He asked Gangut in a calm manner, even though his voice still seemed to crack. The Battleship looked up from his stuff and at him. "What did you just say?" She asked in an angry growl. "I asked why you seem to have an issue with me. When we first met you seemed to be a nice and welcoming person. But whenever I met you afterwards, you seemed to be aggravated. Or was that rather because of the company I was in?" He continued while Ganguts facial expression told him that he had hit the right spot. "Yes, you always seemed to attack Prinz Eugen, when you addressed me in her presence." He answered his own question. "There is nothing to talk about here. You are a spy and that's all." Gangut yelled clearly aggravated. "Then why are you the one losing composure right now? Whatever happened between the two of you, it must have been quite the thing to have riled you up like that." He provoked her further, while standing up and walking towards her side of the table. "Hey, sit back down or...." Chapayev was interrupted in her attempt to bring the conversation and dynamic of the situation back into control. Instead Ganguts voice drowned the rest of her phrase in the shear acoustic volume of her voice. "Ohh, you do not want to poke that bear. I warn you. Do not provoke me, human." Her thundering voice loud enough to fill an operahouse with sound. "So go on, tell me what happened that got you in such a rage." The young engineer yelled back. Now standing barely a meter away from the tall statue of the battleship. "I will never tell you what happened here between that godforsaken cruiser and me you little brat!" Her voice was so loud it was almost drowning out the thoughts inside the head of the young engineer. "It seems like that little cruiser had beaten you here in quite the harsh way. How humiliating this must have been to such a proud dreadnaught. But I guess it just showed your age and outdated existence." He hauled back in a spiteful tone. At the same time grabbing the pictures from the table and placing them in the pockets of his pants. "That's it! I am going to break every bone in your body!" The battleship screamed.
Lunging forward to grab him, the young engineer evaded her by also throwing himself towards the battleship. But he passed by between her right leg and the wall of the conference room. getting back on his feet immediately, the young engineer turned to see Chapayev jump over the table to get in between the young engineer and Gangut. But before she could get there the battleship had turned around and drew out her right arm to swing a punch at the young engineer. He again dropped to the floor and evaded the punch of the battleship, which instead landed her fist straight in the paneling of the conference room. Punching straight through the wood and drywall behind it. Ripping her arm back out of the wall, she created a gap big enough for a child to squeeze through. Finally Chapayev reached the two of them and she tried to restrain Gangut, while screaming: "Stop that, don 't you see that was his plan? Clam down Comrade!" But Ganguts face was a grimace of hate and bloodlust. While she tried to get the light cruiser off her, the young engineer used the opportunity and made his attempt to squeeze through the hole in the wall. Realizing their captive was about to escape, both ships stopped fighting each other and tried to grab the young engineer. He had almost squeezed through when Gangut grabbed his right wrist, the sheer force of her grip breaking the bones in the young engineer's wrist like they were twigs. Screaming like he had never before from the sudden rush of pain, the young engineer somehow managed to get his right arm out of the iron grip of the dreadnaught. Holding his broken wrist close to the center of his body, he started to stumble and run. He was barely able to see anything since the pain almost made him black out.
After a couple of moments of staggering half blind through a hallway, he reached a door and managed to get onto an outside platform overlooking the sea. Finally being able to somehow breathe again, he took in the cold night air and realized that he was at one of the naval bases of the Northern Palairment. Despite the pain of his broken wrist and the burning feel in his lungs, his mind worked like it should be. Knowing the basic ironblood protocol for all foreign ports within Ironblood operational reach , he made the decision to try his luck. He looked around and saw a small 30cm searchlight on the platform. It took him some seconds to remember the right combination. Hoping that this would work out and save him, he lit up the searchlight and got to its shutters. Morsing in Ironblood:

He managed to repeat this code once more into another direction before the door behind him burst open and a bunch of Northern Parliament soldiers rushed out onto the platform. Knowing he had no other choice if he wanted to ever get away without more than just a broken wrist and some scratches, he leaped over the railing of the platform. Falling towards the pitch balck water, he saw the light of his guardian angel in the black, cold sea.

The End.
This was the first creative story I wrote.
Well, creative not quite. I was more or less dared into writing it. It was fun though, although I am not really into anime but rather inspired by naval history. Nonetheless, the time spent was entertaining.I hope those of you who read this story liked it.
Please let me know your thoughts, I am always trying to improve upon what skills I have.Depending on how comfortable I feel with developing plots in this kind of genre I might be compelled to continue to write stories in or about this setting and what I have made out of this mobile games plot and world.
Apropos. My respect goes to the first one who can figure out the communication at the end. Maybe you will know what happened to the young engineer.
If you need help with it, I would be happy to assist.
