The final night of the drive in came around and Leia found herself walking through the employee's only door, behind Jughead. She sat down beside him as he started the movie for everyone. Her eyes scanned over the room with a disgusted glance, wiping her hand along the desk beside them.

"Does someone live in here or something?" She chuckled, noticing the bed laid in the corner. She interrupted his responses when her eyes moving to her hand where she'd just wiped it against the desk. "Is that dust?" She gagged dramatically, wiping it onto his jacket while he gave her a judgmental glass.

"Stop touching things." Jughead slapped her hands as she reached over to touch a button.

"Stop touching things." Leia mimicked his voice in a dramatic tone which merely made the boy roll his eyes. "Why do you like this job so much? I can't imagine sitting squashed in this room all the time. Do you even get paid?"

"Yes, I get paid." Jughead rolled his eyes again before sighing. "As for why I like the job..." he paused and looked back at the screen, noticing the movie he'd seen a million times before, "...my parents used to bring me and my sister here. We could never afford for all four of us so," he paused again, deep in memory, "me and Jellybean used to hide in the boot of the car until the movie started. Then we'd get out and we'd spend it as a family."

Leia noticed the boy wearing a smile, such an unusual look. Sure, he smiled, just never around her. When he was smiling, it was fake and sarcastic to annoy the girl beside him. His smile was nice, it suited him.

"That explains why you wanted everyone to help save it." Leia mumbled and the boy nodded, taking a piece of popcorn out of the box. "Do you want me to leave?" She asked suddenly, after a moment of silence. "I don't want to disturb you during your last time here."

"It's fine." Jughead interrupted the girl, his attention only on the screen in front of him. "You're not as bad company as you usually are."

"Hey!" Leia explained, grabbing some popcorn.

With the handful of popcorn hidden in her palms, she raised it and threw it at the unsuspecting boy. He turned to face her, grabbing his own handful and throwing it at her as she dodged quickly, a laugh leaving her as she did so. The two shared a smile together before turning their attention back to the screen.

The smiles never once leaving their faces.

When Leia was younger, she'd visit Archie with her parents, the group all heading to Pop's. Both his parents and both hers. They were like one giant happy family and if you looked over at them you'd laugh, noticing Archie and Leia bickering over something small such as what the best colour was.

They weren't perfect, nobody was perfect, but they did everything to protect each other. Sure, Angela and James made decisions that Fred and Mary didn't agree with, such as joining a gang, but they didn't see them any different. They were always the same Angela and James who had their loveable daughter, Leia.

The ones who would do anything to ensure their daughter was at her happiest.

Hearing the news about their death, both Mary and Fred were distraught, knowing people they'd cared for had their lives so mercilessly stolen. Their immediate thought was Leia, what had happened to her? When they'd found out she was okay, they'd done everything they could to get custody of her, knowing she'd be better off with her family rather than a stranger.

So, that's what they did, and that's how Leia ended up moving into the spare room at the Andrews household. She'd been welcomed to the household and they try to ensure that she'd be blocked from any possible triggers, such as the Southside Serpents. She knew of them, of course, but she just didn't know who they were or her connection to them.

It was only a matter of time before she unravelled all those family secrets.
