I manage to get a good amount of sleep before Kota wakes us up in the morning. He doesn't comment on North and Silas being with me. It isn't uncommon for any of them to comfort me like this. They know it helps keep my nightmares at bay.
School is the same as it always is, but the boys stay close to me. Luke makes me laugh all morning by sneaking notes into my stuff. Some of them are just stick men and other doodles, while others are knock-knock jokes. Each one makes me smile.
Jade tries to approach me in the hall, but Nathan was there blocking her way. Her glare follows me, but I'm relieved I don't have to interact with her today. Most of the time I don't understand her insults, but I know she is being mean. I am worried about running into Greg after everything, but I don't catch even a glimpse of him all day.
Finally, gym arrives. I dress in a stall quickly and hurry out to my guys. Nathan and Gabe are waiting for me right outside the door. I smile at them as we head to sit on the bleachers with everyone else. We wait for the coaches to arrive, but no one does.
"I guess we have the fucking period to ourselves," Gabe observes. The other students lounge around the bleachers chatting in small groups.
"I guess so," I reply.
"Hey, Peanut," Nathan starts getting my attention. "What do you want to do after school today?"
"You guys don't have anything to do?" I ask. Usually one or two of them had something going on almost all the time. Nathan shook his head.
"Not that I know of, but Kota would know if there were any changes." I think about it. I really think I just want to go home. I tell them that. Gabe gets really excited for some reason. He mentions something about a sleepover, a fort, and games. It does sound fun.
As we sit and chat, a group of boys behind us start shoving each other. One pushes into me. I stumble up to my feet and start to turn around. Nathan shoves him back, and they thankfully move away. I try to fully turn around, but my feet get caught, and the next thing I know I'm falling.
Strong arms wrap around me and instead of the hard bleachers, I fall into a lap. I look up at Nathan as he cradles me. My face heats in embarrassment.
"Peanut, if you wanted to sit in my lap, you just had to ask," he teases making me laugh. I place my hands on his shoulders and attempt to sit up.
"She doesn't want to sit with you, right Trouble?" Gabriel asks. I look over and meeting his puppy dog eyes. He opens his arms motioning to his empty lap. The entire thing makes me laugh even harder. The boys soon join me. A throat clearing interrupts us.
"This is highly inappropriate," a cold voice states. I freeze the laughter clogging in my throat. Mr. McCoy looms over us his arms crossed. His eyebrow is raised as he takes in our position. I jump up, and Nathan helps steady me from behind his hands on my waist. He stands beside me facing down Mr. McCoy.
"She fell on the bleachers, I-," Nathan tries to explain, but Mr. McCoy interrupts him.
"Sang Blackbourne, I knew you were trouble," Mr. McCoy states glaring down on me. "My office, now." I flinch at his tone. Nathan goes to argue, but Mr. McCoy isn't having any of it. The coaches finally walk in, and I'm forced to follow Mr. McCoy out and down the hall to the office.
Are you okay? Alpha's voice in my head immediately gives me comfort. I am not alone.
Yes. I answer back as I follow Mr. McCoy into his office.
We are right outside, Pookie. The minute you feel uncomfortable we will be there. Taking a deep breath, I steady myself. He walks around his desk and grabs a pad of paper off the top.
"First, the fight and now this?" He asks shaking his head. He picks up a pen and writes something in the paper. Ripping the top sheet off he handed it to me. "Detention for a week." Reluctantly, I take the paper. He tells me I have to give it to the lady outside at the main desk. I nod my understanding hoping that is it.
He steps back around his desk and motions for me to go in front of him to the door. His hand circles my arm. A fiery pain alights on my arm making me jerk away from him with a cry. He face shows nothing as he stares at me.
"Can't even handle a bit of static shock," he scoffs opening his door. Owen I standing on the other side glaring at the man. He glances over at me his gaze zeroing in on where I'm holding my arm. Tears burn behind my eyes wanting to fall.
"I believe all discipline of my students fall to me, Mr. McCoy," Owen says sternly. Mr. McCoy looks smug and just shrugs.
"I'm not going to ignore discipline problems, and give your students special treatment," he retorts. "Now get out of my office. I don't have anymore time I can waste on you."
I make my way quickly over to Owen. He keeps his glare focused on McCoy. Once I'm out of the doorway, McCoy slams his office door shut right in Owen's face. He takes a deep breath before turning to me. Without a word he takes the sheet of paper, crumples it, and throws it in the trash in our way out of the office. He leads me into his and Sean's office closing the door behind him. Sean was already there pacing around the room. He rushes up to me the moment he sees me.
"Pookie, I hate how he has focused on you," he says looking me over. "Where does it hurt? We felt the pain through the link." I move my hand from my arm revealing a small red blister. He walks me over to the couch and has me sit.
"Silver?" Owen asks watching us. Sean nods dabbing some cream in the mark before wrapping it in a bandage. The ointment feels cool against my hot skin.
"Has to be, he must have had a silver ring in, not uncommon, but that doesn't make it any less painful," Sean states. "How does that feel Pookie?"
"Better," I reply honestly.
"Good, then let's get you home, and figure out what Gabe has plotted." His words make me laugh which I think was his goal. I grab my stuff, and we stop by the gym so that I can change back into regular clothes. Nathan and Gabe check in with me but have to stay in class. Soon enough, we are headed back to the pack house. A quiet night in with my pack sounds amazing.

McCoy waits until the final bell rings, and the halls clear before heading to Hendricks office. The man in questions is behind his desk. He meets McCoy's eyes seeing the excitement there.
"You've confirmed it?" He asks. McCoy nods.
"She's the answer to our problems," McCoy states and they both know he is right.
"This will solve our supply issues," Hendricks adds. "How do we do this? Those boys barely let her out of there sights." McCoy smirks.
"I have a few ideas."
