NOAH SAT ON A dirt covered floor. She was placed in a dugout in the ground Alby had called 'The Pit'. The new Glader had tried to convince Alby that she wouldn't run again, but they both knew she was lying. So, that's how she found herself in the small cave. The dirt had successfully taken over the coloring of her green cargo pants as she sat, but they were rather easy to dust off.
The clothing Noah had woken up with consisted of looser army green cargo pants. They were high waisted with a matching black belt. On her upper body, she wore a dark army green shirt with a lighter green, slightly baggy, sweater. On top of the shirt but under the sweater, she had a leather belt strap for comfort on her chest. On her feet she wore worn-out black combat boots. They had duck tape on them in some places to hold them together. Her hair, from what she could see, was a dark rich brown that was shoulder length. She also had a hair tie, much to her appreciation.
The sun had fallen and the stars were out, causing the Glade to be darker in color. The only things lighting the field were the many lanterns that were scattered around. Something that caught her attention, however, was an approaching light. She got up and dusted off her clothes before grabbing ahold of two of the bamboo bars of the gate holding her in. She tried desperately to look outside and find who, or what, was coming for her. This ended up being useless as she couldn't see anything but the stars and tree tops. A few moments later, and a short, chubby boy was brought into view. He held and lantern and a kind smile. "Hello!" He greeted cheerfully. "Hi there," Noah answered with an equally kind look. "I'm Chuck. I was the Greenie before you came. I'm here to take you to dinner." The boy explained. Noah smiled. "Why thank you," She chuckled as he fumbled with the lock. "I'm Noah, by the way." Chuck looked up at her shocked as she left the pit. She stretched her arms up and sighed, but when she looked at him, her face faltered. "What?" She asked as if there was something on her face. "You already remembered your name?" He wondered as the two began walking towards the many lights. "Yeah, doesn't everyone?" Noah looked at him with a confused face. She swore she heard some of the guys calling each other by their names. "Well, yeah." Chuck shrugged. "Eventually. No one has remembered that fast." "Huh, I must be special." Noah joked. Chuck scoffed. "What? You don't think so?" "No, yeah! You're plenty special." Chuck glanced around. A lot of guys were staring at her. "To the guys." This time Noah scoffed.
"Hey there, greenie!" The dark skinned man who had the cloth around his neck greeted. "Noah." The girl extended her hand with a smile. The boy took it with a firm grip and a confused smile. "Remember already, huh?" He glanced to Chuck. "Frypan, just call me Fry." Noah smiled and nodded. Frypan handed her a tray with a sandwich and some vegetables strewn about. Noah sent the boy a nod and walked off with Chuck behind her.
They sat at a mostly empty table and Noah began asking questions. "So, where does all the supplies come from?" She questioned as she took a bite of the sandwich. "The box. Every month we get more supplies and a new greenie." Chuck shrugged. "We don't know who sends them. I was the greenie before you." "What does that even mean?" Noah sighed. "Greenie? Green Bean?" "Don't know." Chuck shrugged again. "Just what they call'em." Noah nodded but didn't ask anything more. "Y'know, Greenies are pretty popular in general, but you're getting more stares than the others." The boy chuckled. "I bet, I'm the only girl." Noah rolled her eyes. "Well, yes but," Chuck trailed off looking behind his new friend. "You're gaining some attention." Noah looked back and locked eyes with Gally, and a boy with brownish blond hair. She looked away nervously.

"Who is that?" Noah asked Chuck. The boy smirked. "Well, you've met Gally. Are you talking about the boy next to him?" Chuck chuckled again. Noah sighed. "Yes, the one next to him." The new girl rolled her eyes. "That's Newt. He's still looking at you." Chuck told her. Noah scoffed and stood. She walked back over to Frypan and handed him the tray. "Not hungry?" He asked her. Noah glanced back to Newt who was still looking at her. "Not hungry enough for the stares." Frypan glanced over at Newt then back to the girl. He nodded and gave her a kind smile. Noah held out her fist to him and waited. He looked at it funny. "Oh you, uh," She trailed off and lightly grabbed his wrist. Fry balled his hand into a fist and bumped her raised fist lightly. Noah laughed. "Yeah, there you go!" "How do you, y'know, remember that?" Fry asked her with an odd gaze. Noah glanced at her fist. "No idea." She shrugged. "Must have done it a lot before." And with that, the girl walked off.
The Glade wasn't that big of a space, but Noah still got lost some times. It was dark after all. Noah was exploring the field when she found a small part of the wall with names carved on it. The girl looked at it curiously and ran her hand across it.

Noah's hand stopped when it came across the name spelled N-E-W-T. She slowly traced her forefinger on every letter. "What? D'you like the name?" A male voice sounded behind her. The voice was unlike the others, this one had a thick accent attached to it. Noah recoiled her hand and sighed. "Sorry, uh," She trailed off and slowly turned around. "I came to introduce myself but uh, you seem to already know." The blond boy Noah caught staring at her was now standing in front of her. The girl held out her hand. "I'm Noah. It's nice to meet you." The boy extended his hand slowly and grabbed hers. Newt shook her hand cautiously. "Everyone is heading in for the night." He told her. Noah chuckled nervously as his hand was still in hers. "Chuck will find you someplace to sleep." He then, to Noah's sadness, let go of her hand and turned to walk away. "Night, Noah." "Goodnight." Noah said way to excitedly. She sighed and hit herself in the head. "The hell was that?" She mumbled as Chuck ran up to her. "Hey, come on. I'll show you to were we're sleeping." Chuck smiled and ran off.
