Fallon strode into Sam's hotel restaurant for her meeting with Alexis. Coming to a halt by the bar, she snatched her sunglasses from her eyes and scanned the room for her platinum blonde haired monster of a mother.
"Fallon dear!" a voice called from the corner of the room and a freshly manicured hand waved above the heads of the seated restaurant guests.
Fallon weaved her way through the many tables, exuding visible disgust at the tables where fries were a feature.
"What was so important mother?" Fallon asked, offering no eye contact as she gracefully sat down opposite.
"Why don't we have a drink first hm?" Alexis was stalling.
"I'm only here because you said it was urgent and I have... something... that I need to get back to as soon a possible so if you don't mind can we please hurry this up," Fallon was restless and was not about to put up with any more of her mother's antics than necessary.
Alexis rolled her eyes at her daughter's impatience and cleared her throat rather dramatically.
"So, you know there's some heat that has fired up between us and the Colbys lately, once again..." she began.
Fallon squirmed a little inside, not really wanting to unpack Monica, again.
"They've proposed a deal, a truce if you will."
Fallon's eyes prompted Alexis to go on.
She continued,"...and in exchange Jeff is going to provide us with shares in majority of Colby co."
"Well that seems too good to be true, in exchange for what exactly," Fallon didn't seem convinced.
"You need to marry into the family," Alexis stated loud and clear.
Fallon stood up abruptly and dramatically as per usual, "Are you crazy? No!"
"Just think about it, it won't be 'real' in our eyes, just the law, and in return we have majority shares, it a brilliant deal" Alexis was ready to plead. Oh the things she would force her children into unwillingly for more power.
Mouth agape in disbelief and honest to god hatred for her mother in this moment, she threw her hand up to silence the woman now standing opposite her.
"This conversation is done," Fallon had walked directly out of the building within seconds, flinging herself into the chauffeured limousine before Alexis could chase her down.
The journey was short from the hotel to Carrington manor but it gave Fallon the time she needed to think.
As the car came to a halt, she didn't wait for the door to be opened for her, instead she let herself out, much to the surprise of the new chauffer.
Slamming the door open, she rushed upstairs with no hesitation headed straight for her chambers, hoping Kirby wouldn't have left.
"Fal?" she heard an australian accent echoing from the bedroom.
"We're leaving. Now," Fallon flung her 4 suitcases onto the bed one by one and starting throwing her clothes into it.
"Okay so first of all, why are we leaving? and second of all have you ever packed your own suitcase before because you are doing a horribly awful job," Kirby sniggered.
"Alexis is being ridiculous. She seems to think that me marrying Jeff Colby is a good business decision"
"I'm sorry but in what world would that ever be a good business decision. I dont have that much insight into that world but I do know that getting involved with the Colby's never ends well," Kirby sat down, arms folded and all, looking mildly knowledgeable.
Fallon stopped trying to squeeze her Armani trousers into the small gap left in her suitcase and sighed.
"I just wanna get away, just me and you. I don't wanna think about this horrible proposal. I want to spend a weekend at least in someplace that isn't full of scheming assholes," Fallon's voice reached a more calming volume.
Kirby saw the panic behind her girlfriends eyes and agreed that a few days away was a good idea.
"I bought a villa on the east coast last year. It's absolutely gorgeous and I have a personal chef on speed dial?" Fallon suggested.
"Sounds perfect," Kirby concurred as she brushed a loose strand from Fallon's coiffured updo and tucked it behind her ear.
Their foreheads met. They closed their eyes. In that moment there was peace. Just them.
After few seconds of each other's company in silence, Kirby whispered,"Seriously though I'm gonna have to repack your suitcase because that shit is not gonna work."
"Fine," Fallon laughed and rolled her eyes.
