The gentle Autumn breeze wafted through the air.

Occasionally lifting other girl's skirts up.

The golden blaze of the sun rising made me joyous.

It's going to be another great day of school!

I exited my room, humming a chipper tune until i bumped into Kikyou-chan.

"Morning Mii-chan!" She greeted.

"Good morning to you too!" I responded.

"You're in a good mood today, Mii-chan."
She acknowledged.

"Well of course. It's because it's now Autumn!" I burst out.

We began walking to class, whilst continuing our chat.

"Oh yeah. What's so great about Autumn?"
She asked.

"Well you know, like the crunchy russet leaves which fall from the trees and the gorgeous sun to amplify it!" I excitedly spoke out.

"Hmmm, no surprise there. A cute girl liking cute things." Kikyou-chan unexpectedly stated.

"Awwww, you're gonna make me blush!" I declared.

I didn't tell Kikyou-chan my other reasons for liking Autumn, but the main one would probably be...

Yousuke Hirata.

His birthday was during the early stages of Autumn, September 1st.

That day, had finally arrived.

It's Yousuke's birthday and i plan on asking him to join me later today to have some fun.

If i'm lucky, then maybe... just maybe.

"Mii-chan, are you alright? You've gone bright red!" Kikyou-chan exclaimed.

"W-W-What!? I-I'm fine!" I hastily lied.

"Uhmmm. You sure you weren't think about Hirata-kun? It is his birthday today." She chuckled.

So even someone as pretty as Kikyou-chan will be a rival.

That's not good...

Kikyou-chan is better than me at everything!

She is pretty, popular, smart and great at communicating.

I can't beat her...

"Mii-chan, don't worry. I'm rooting for you!"
She cheered.

"I-I-I u-u-uhm..." I mumbled before stopping slightly.

"T-Thank you Kikyou-chan." I finished.

If Kikyou-chan isn't after Yousuke-kun..
Then who is she after?

She could get anyone with her aesthetics and personality.

I bet she's just waiting for the perfect person.
