It's not like America hates his brother though, it's just that Canada's overprotectiveness isn't needed. Not only that, but Canada keeps trying to kill Russia. So that's why America thought that maybe getting Canada a Boyfriend (since Canada is gay but still in the closet about , so not many people know) the key to make him not be so overprotective of him.
