Y/N didn't like wearing the locket. She hated it, actually. Not only did it make her feel dirty, stuck in her thoughts, but it made her undeniably rude and sarcastic for no reason. She was usually like that, sure, but she didn't like how she was prone to snap more easily.

Now, she would never intentionally be rude to someone. That is, unless, they deserved it. That's a whole different story. Especially if that someone was a certain Malfoy. Other then that, she usually kept herself calm, collected. But when it came to her family, friends, or Hermione, she would snap more.

You know, Y/N really thought the locket wouldn't affect her as much. She was in tune with her emotions, just didn't really like to display them as much. She wasn't the type to really spill out everything she was feeling, rather keep it bottled up inside of her. She thought that was what was safe for her, for others.

However, the first time she wore it, she snapped at Harry a little too much. Now, the raven-haired boy knew she couldn't control it, so he didn't look too much into what she had said to him. Y/N apologized after she took the necklace off, anyway. Guilt usually started to eat away at her.

She didn't usually snap at Ron. He knew where he should stay, knew the boundaries he should stay behind when she had it on. It was sort of an unspoken agreement between the two. Don't bother me, and nothing will happen. After all, Y/N did the same for him. She only talked to him or went near him when he gave her a look asking to stay with him. But he wasn't there anymore, he was gone.

Y/N didn't snap at Sofia. Really, she only did it once or twice. Being best friends since they were ten had its perks, especially when it helped them develop an understanding of each other. With just one look, Sofia could determine whether Y/N wanted her near or not. But honestly, Y/N always felt like she did. She was one of the only friends she had close to her throughout the hunt.

Now, Hermione? Y/N rarely ever snapped at her. Even with that locket, there wasn't anything that would make her snap at Hermione. At least, not yet, anyway. That girl could put her in her place with just one glance, with just one look. You could call it talent, but Y/N called it scary. She didn't particularly like how Hermione would scold her like her parents. Although, she knew it was so that she could be kept in her place.

Y/N never liked wearing the locket. She didn't like how it made her feel, nor did she like the way it felt like there was a huge weight on her shoulders. So when it was her turn to put it on in the morning, she wasn't looking forward to it. She hadn't really gotten much sleep the night prior. Hermione made her stay up so they could talk.
